Good morning!
Books 51 and 52: The Darkest Night by a variety of excellent horror authors and 25 Days by Per Jacobsen. Finishing my year of reading with some holiday-themed scares. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #booksky #horrorbooks #christmashorror
Book 50: Krampus: The Yule Lord by Brom. This book should be made into a movie. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #booksky #horrorbooks
Book 49: A Christmas Ghost Story by Kim Newman. I liked the premise of this story, but not the execution. ⭐️⭐️ #horrorbooks #booksky
Book 48: How to Survive a Horror Story by Mallory Arnold. A thrilling mystery about the bit of monster inside all of us. #booksky #horrorbooks
Yes it is!
Book 47: The Ressurectionist by A. Rae Dunlap. A surprisingly macabre story about bodysnatching in the early 1900s with a pleasant queer twist. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #booksky #horrorbooks
Book 46: What Stalks the Deep by T. Kingfisher. Another excellent episode in the sworn soldier series. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book 45: Something In the Walls by Daisy Pearce. Creepy and disturbing story about trauma, obsession with tradition, and the horrors of superstitious belief. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ended up being far more gory than I thought it was going to be. The Cunning Man is rather nasty, but he's not the worst one!
Book 44: All Hallows by Christopher Golden. On All Hallow's Eve, the spooks will come out to play! Beware the Cunning Man! ⭐️⭐️⭐️ #booksky #horrorbooks
Book 43: Dark Harvest by Norman Partridge. Halloween horrors are my favorite, and this one did not disappoint. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book 42: Episode 13 by Craig DiLouie. Excellent novel about a ghost hunting team that discovers far moe than they bargained for. One of the best books I've read this year. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book 41: Secret Lives of the Dead by Tim Lebbon. Really great read that doesn't quite stick the landing. Fast paced action mixed with creepy supernatural horror. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #bluesky #horrorbooks
I'm working through them!
I started with the First Law Trilogy. Took me a bit to get through all 3, but you could start with The Devils and be fine!
I haven't read that one yet. 😀 I enjoyed the IKEA setting of this one.
I try to do a little review. I'll keep it up.
Book 40: Fantastic Land by Mike Bockoven. Great premise, horrible execution. Super boring read. #booksky #horrorbooks
Book 39: The Staircase in the Woods by Chuck Wendig. Awesome read. #booksky #horrorbooks
It was great!
Book 38: Horrorstör by Grady Hendrix. Imagine if the House on Haunted Hill was an IKEA. Hilarious and terrifying. #booksky #horrorbooks
Book 37: Ghosts by Iain Rob Wright. One of the "Cursed Manuscripts" about a viral video challenge that unintentionally summons the dead.
