Do we actually think Polanco is going to be the regular first baseman? If one of the goals of moving off Nimmo/Pete is to improve defensively, then not sure how Polanco fits. If he is primarily going to DH then maybe. Still need to see what other moves happen.
5 years for Alonso would have been a mistake. glad he got his money though. #mets
Joe Ryan in orange and blue please #mets
We wait to find out but how do you not match a 3 year deal?
waiting to see how the dust settles but can’t really spin losing diaz to the dodgers. vibes are not good rn #mets
knicks and mets wins today please
it’s almost juan soto eve
can’t really argue with that red. disappointing game.
City humbled and out the CL, Liverpool draw, and Arsenal getting Feyenoord or PSV. I’m eating good today.
pitching injuries are inevitable which makes investing in SP at high costs risky business. no real issue with the Mets strategy taking multiple shots on less expensive options. Montas injury feels less catastrophic to the season overall imo.
this havertz news has me shook ngl
City showing up to the Emirates with £150m worth of transfers only to get Ole’d against a Saka-less Arsenal
No idea how that’s not a booking.
And Myles Lewis-Skelly does Erling Haaland's meditation celebration.
Inject it. Over and over.
TAKE A BOW MLS
PGMOL basically running the 47 playbook
there’s enough “don’t believe your lying eyes” gaslighting in the world. it’s not needed for blatant refereeing errors in football. shame on PGMOL and the Premier League for letting it get to this point.
the decision to uphold this on VAR plus the PGMOL statement doubling down only shows this was never about getting to the correct answer. serious reform is needed without question.
enjoying this PGMOL PR disasterclass. amateur level stuff.
too much “don’t believe your lying eyes” this week
At this point, serious questions have to be asked about Michael Oliver. I'll start: is he biased, corrupt or just utterly incompetent?
And if PGMOL attempt to defend that decision, they might as well declare that they're not fit for purpose.
It is one thing ranting and raving about Oliver's weird decisions - or someone else's - there is always something somewhere that seems bewildering.
But VAR is there, with assistants, and replays, and backup, to do the job of helping the ref if an instant judgement is off.
It is not working.
Michael Oliver has sent two players off this season. Both Arsenal players.
You could excuse one or two decisions as incompetence. But it’s hard to see anything other than clear bias given the type of decisions/standards that only apply to Arsenal.
Some Michael Oliver red card stats
Man. City - 50 games - 0 red cards received
Liverpool - 57 games - 1 red card received
Arsenal - 54 games - 7 red cards received
Tell me there's no bias here.
#WOLARS
Not having any revisionism. That’s never a red card unless it’s Arsenal.
EPL is such joke.
you have to be kidding me
