Four years ago, Mayor Frey promised residents deliver meaningful police reforms but after 8 years of his failed leadership, broken promises and lies, it’s clear he has no intention of holding MPD accountable.
It’s time to elect a Mayor with integrity who is accountable to Minneapolis residents.
This is one of several examples in the past 2 weeks alone that Mayor Frey and MPD have refused to cooperate with partners and provide accountability to the public.
The City Auditor and Hennepin County Commissioner Irene Fernando recently brought up their own concerns with a lack of accountability.
Mayor Frey and MPD continue to avoid accountability at every turn.
This time, they’re willing to violate the City Charter in order to do so.
According to the City Council, Mayor Frey and MPD are refusing to comply with a request to see the results of MPD’s investigation into the Davis Moturi case.
Tonight’s debate got passionate, but these photos bring me back to what truly matters: my kids watching from home, full of hope and belief in what we can build together. I’m running for them, for you, and for every child who deserves a city that lifts them up and believes in their future. 💙
Mayor Frey's default answer is to call everyone extreme, but even Nancy Pelosi and I agree it's time to take a real stand against Trump. The Mayor would rather throw in the towel because the same people who spent money putting Trump in the WH are bankrolling his campaign.
As mayor, I am committed to fully supporting our teachers union, and all of MFE 59.
davis points out to frey that IEs supporting him send mailers instructing voters how to rank their ballots and adds "i am running because i am tired of your inadequate leadership rooted in personal ambition, in moral blindness, in ideological purity."
Always so good when your next Mayor makes a good point. This is why we love @dewayneforminneapolis.com! Remember to rank him #1 on your ballot if you have not voted yet, Minneapolis!
Stonewall DFL is pleased to release its 2025 voter guide entitled: Municipal Elections Matter More Than Ever- The 2025 Stonewall DFL Voter Guide. This is our first publicly released voter guide in a long time.
We are excited to share the candidates we have had the honor of endorsing this cycle. Check it out at the link below!

"Not only is Frey unable to find funds to fill a hole amounting to less than 1% of the city’s $2 billion budget, he proposes cutting 100 emergency housing vouchers at the same time, pitting two vital programs against each other.”
Mpls for the Many logo at the top with the following text below: "Our mayor's policy of spending taxpayer dollars to clear encampments without long-term plans has failed both our unhoused neighbors and the broader community. Hi sinability to work with council members to adequately utilize available resources, like Emergency Housing Vouchers or the Mobile Medical Unit, lies squarely at his feet. And his plans for his next term, as displayed in his proposed budget, suggest he's more concerned with shutting down council member's ideas than suggesting any of his own." Attributed to Eli Sherman & Heather Silsbee at Racket.
As Eli Shermann and Heather Silsbee recently laid out for Racket, when it comes to housing, the Mayor’s track record is littered with lies and broken promises.
If we ever want to really address housing and homelessness in Minneapolis, we need to elect a new mayor.

Title text: "Eight years ago Jacob Frey promised to end homelessness in five years." With the following text below, "In the last year alone, Frey has...lied about number of unhoused people in Minneapolis; defunded the Stable Homes, Stable Schools program; refused to implement emergency housing vouchers that Council passed in 2025; spent untold City resources on encampment clearing that aren't working for anyone." Mpls for the Many logo in the corner.
Eight years ago, Mayor Frey promised to end homelessness in 5 years.
Not only has he failed to come close to meeting that promise, he’s actively stood in the way of progress.
In the last year, he has lied about the number of unhoused people in the city and defunded multiple vital programs.
I’m running for Mayor to help build the City my son will grow up in. A safe and affordable city for working families, that gives the next generation the tools they need to succeed. I’m running for my family and yours, because Minneapolis is worth fighting for.
True leadership builds bridges between communities, between ideologies, between the urgent and the possible. I shared that vision in today’s Star Tribune, a vision for a future #Minneapolis that works for everyone. 💙💪

"As I talked to Dr. Davis...I felt a clear sense that Minneapolis was being offered a clear choice...that could mean an off-ramp from the anger and division of the last several years, and a choice of a steady hand to bring our city together..."

MPLS is a renter-majority city and their voices must shape our democracy. We're excited to get these voters out to the polls on Tuesday. But we need your help! Sign up for a doorknock or phone bank shift today to help elect Robin, Omar Fateh, and Michael: buff.ly/x2ni7mm
Despite his attempts to disenfranchise voters, the knock was an incredible success. Several renters shared they were surprised to see us so late into the campaign, but were eager to support Omar, Michael, and myself. Last night reaffirmed why we took Wall to court.
TAKE ACTION: This weekend, working families will feel more hits from Trump’s shutdown.
📈 22M could see healthcare premiums double
💔 4.2M could lose healthcare coverage
🍽 40M could lose SNAP during the shutdown
We’re organizing together. Mass call Thu 10/30 @ 8pm ET. RSVP now: seiu.co/47Od1Ws

Jazz is running to be mayor. Period.
We have seen an increase in this kind of racism and islamophobia in our politics. This is not who Minneapolis is, and this kind of hate has no place here. I won't be deterred from continuing to fight for the city we all love. sahanjournal.com/democracy-po...
I stand in solidarity with our Local 59 educators who voted to authorize a strike. Minneapolis educators and working families all want a school system that sets kids up for success.
