So proud of everyone who worked on The Big Bad Book and Creatures and Curios! Editing it and writing for them was such a delight thanks to the 20+ authors and 50+ artists who each brought their own magic to BIG BADS!

I hope folks will enjoy busting out these brilliant baddies at their tables!

And yeah, my Mum used to pinch my pencils, though I don't think these would have stopped her!

This is my favourite track from the album. I had it on repeat for days while writing/editing the Firnveldt chapter. Command Creative took our prompts and absolutely nailed the vibes like the pros that they are.

A watercolor painting of characters from the Dungeons and Dragons campaign setting "Humblewood: Beyond the Canopy." The painting depicts three animal folk adventurers lost in a golden field. There is a blue sky with pink tinted clouds behind them. The three characters are a civet named Zaya who is holding a map and looking confused, a blue and gold macaw named Shine who is looking irritated, and a weasel named Orlo who is in sitting cross-legged in scale mail armor. The weasel is looking at a butterfly which has landed on the pommel of his sword. Behind the party of adventurers, there is a tall sign posted pointed in various directions, with the labels "Tanglewilds," "Alderheart," and "Crystal Expanse."

Also, I'm so grateful and glad that I work for a company and live in a country that doesn't force me to choose between caring for my imminent child and doing the job I love. Better workers' rights can only benefit the TTRPG industry (and all industries)!

The launch of my book baby coincides almost exactly with the launch of my human baby. I've just started maternity leave, but the rest of the @hitpointpress.bsky.social team is still hard at work to make this a kickass Kickstarter! Go check out what we've been working on (and all the cute animals)!

I used to live just downstream at Bolton Abbey. At night, I'd look out for the white deer that are said to be the spirits of the Strid's victims.

Aviv absolutely knocked this out of the park! Adventuring with Dhuug's Dogs has been an absolute delight for the past few years, and having this art as we reach our end game is so cool.
Don't be fooled by that cute red panda DM though! He's a master of psychic damage!

Becoming Molly Grue: How I Found an Unlikely Millennial Icon inΒ The Last Unicorn - Reactor Older, wiser... but ready for new quests, and new beginnings.

The best stories only become more meaningful as you age; for @theredtailwitch.bsky.social, revisiting Peter S. Beagle's The Last Unicorn brought a whole new appreciation of Molly Grue's pain and regret--and her amazing strength.

Approachable and friendly for GMs, that is. Filled with horrors for players!

Whenever I see someone praising the structure of Heckna and how easy it is to run, I get a little teary because all the hours & effort feel worth it. I wanted it to be approachable and friendly & I learned so much on this project. The designers did such a great job in bringing it all together!

My hot take on writing/editing TTRPGs: Process & execution > "ideas"
Everyone has good ideas. Not everyone puts in the effort to express them effectively. Moving ideas from one person's head to another is a kind of magic that takes practice.

Just saw my first AI submission as an editor. They left "Chat GPT" in the text. I felt insulted that someone thought the bland mess they submitted was at all equivalent to what TTRPG writers do. But mostly, I felt sad for that person depriving themself of the joy of being creative and growing.

I can finally show this archer inspired by a wolverine that I painted for @hitpointpress.bsky.social and Humblewood a while back. It's for the long awaited stand alone Sequel Beyond the Canopy! πŸ₯°
Had so much fun painting him.
