Germany gave people €1,200/month no strings attached.

They kept working, slept better, switched to better jobs, and even gave more to others.

Turns out, when people aren’t drowning, they swim further.

#UBI doesn’t kill ambition, it frees it.

Jury-free trials recommended to save courts from 'collapse' Many criminal cases should be decided by judges to reduce the backlog, a senior judge recommends.

This feels like an incredibly bad idea.

The solution, as in many cases, is funding. Courts regularly sit unused, and the jury service process is chaotic.

It’s all great to offer a solution of a poorer justice system, as long as you aren’t the one being accused.

Pre ordered on Audible.

I’m certain my late August commutes will be significantly improved by this decision.

Honestly one of the most boring games of football I’ve ever seen.

We may as well just retire from international football for a bit, and save the embarrassment.

I just finished this on Audible, and it worked as amazing ‘rage fuel’ when at the gym.

I thought blue was a bit cheeky. Really thought it couldn't be what it was...

Exactly this. I've always woken earlier than I've wanted to, and now use the time to play the Xbox before the kids get to it!

I get that the NHS is pretty broken, but trying to book an appointment with the GP. After an hour's wait, no appointments.

Asked if I could book for Monday, and that's a no, and I just have to call back then.

Really frustrating, and surely booking appointments in advance is quite efficient?

Streets of Rage 2. That game dominated months of my, and my friends, childhood.

I’ve watched all of Star Trek from The Next Generation through to Lower Decks, but never bothered with the original series (seen the movies though).

So, my next TV show binge is going to the original series.

I don’t know which will be terrible, but know some will, so will watch those too!

I often feel I should have been born independently wealthy, yet am a civil servant and frequently eat Lidl’s brand pot noodles.

Agreed. I liked Discovery, but never felt I got to know 90% of the characters, in the same way I have with other series.

Skyward Sword this weekend! Lost the game card ages ago (thanks kids), but found it down the back of the sofa! 😅

I’ve never completed it, so planning to start from the beginning again.

The fight this game and the stupid golden gun would cause!

Tense negotiations to not look at each others screens, then doing so absolutely every single time.
