As usual @lizpelly.bsky.social is Spot on.

'It nudges listeners away from deep consideration and towards accepting a corporate-branded scorecard reflecting a very specific perspective on musical value'.

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

I have been using @qobuz.bsky.social for a year now. It has been a great experience. It pays artists more and it doesn't invest in military tech or run ads for ICE. @nialler9.com has all the details.

Screen shot of black text on white background. Text reads:

The housing crisis will end when steps are taken to end it. It will end when entire streets' worth of houses can't be bought up by vulture funds, it will end when short-term rentals such as Airbnbs are banned or heavily restricted, it will end when the state takes action on the hundreds of thousands of properties lying derelict across Ireland and puts them back into the housing supply. Until then, all we have are targets that we never meet, house prices that have been too high for ten years yet continue to rise, and homelessness that breaks new records with each passing month

Thank you @carlkinsella.bsky.social

Unfortunately Carl is right, until FF & FG actually consider thousands of homeless kids a crisis which effects them & thier voter base, they won't act.

"The prospect of Mairead McGuinness becoming President is appalling. She voted against a motion in the European Parliament to provide further resources to save lives in the Mediterranean. She then gave a false explanation for doing so. She has to be stopped."

The true horror of Ireland's machine of misogyny must never be forgotten | Elaine Feeney The landmark mother and baby home report underlines why we need to grapple with our country’s dark past, says poet and novelist Elaine Feeney

I think that until such time as the number of homeless is zero, we need to make ALL accommodation social housing.

Call it a national emergency. Impose rent controls, tenant rights, whatever it takes.

Constitutional barriers? Amend it.
Political barriers. Vote them out.
