If you want to gate in R, both flowGate and openCyto are a little friendlier than using just base flowCore (covered in class recently: umgcccfcsr.github.io/CytometryInR...). Alternatively, floreada.io is free & web-based (and can convert into FlowJo.wsp and be brought into R with CytoML package)
Also, using the UI is the MOST SUCCESSFUL WAY I've ever been able to stash and pop changes. It's so niiiiice!
Heres a fun game: count how many times I mention git making me cry (in the past) in this video 😂 #positron #databs #GitHub #Git #rstats #pydata
Dual-figure chart with #r2u cumulative donwload in mullion on the left, hitting 68 millions, and average weekly download (on a log scale) coming up on 100lk/week as we hit 3.49 million in the short month of February.
#r2u had its first 'three point five million packages delivered' month in Februaru (outside that two-day Sep 2023 outlier) bringing the total to over 68 million #CRAN #Rstats packages shipped as #Ubuntu .deb binaries.
#r2u. Fast. Easy. Reliable. Pick All Three.

Hello #rstats folks, can anyone point me towards a good resource on how to set up/retrieve existing Google analytics account data and bring it into R? Not my usual #rstats niche, currently reading through the GoogleAnalyticsR vignette but post authentication not seeing any accounts or properties.
Balrog roaring while being on fire. He's a big ol fire guy.
Uh oh, you scrolled too far, too greedily, too deep: you have encountered a balrog.
Wow this scoring chaos seems to be an extreme case of what I say about many ad hoc analyses: no derivation of method from a clear scientific theory, no assessment of statistical properties, and decades pass before someone notices. This happens in biology too, so let’s not pick on psychology only

That is all for now, we are excited to finally be getting started, astounded by the worldwide interest, glad that so many have chosen to join us, and looking forward to helping everyone get started on their own learning journeys. 7/7
Feel free to share the course with anyone you feel may be interested ( #CytometryInR ). Everyone is welcome regardless of prior flow cytometry or coding experience. To be added to our mailing list, complete the original signup form here: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F... 6/7
Since everyone will need to get R and the other software installed on their computer and working correctly before the course starts up, we have made some pre-course walk-through tutorials available to hopefully make the process easier. These can be found at umgcccfcsr.github.io/CytometryInR... 5/7
Each week, all course materials for the upcoming week will be released on Sunday 2200 EST (Monday 0300 GMT+0) via our GitHub repository (github.com/UMGCCCFCSR/C... ). We will also be using it's Discussion page as a community forum for questions and to dive in more depth 4/7
We will cover one topic for one hour each week. To accommodate different schedules, we will live-stream via YouTube (www.youtube.com/@CytometryInR) on Tuesday 2200 EST (Wednesday 0300 GMT+0), Wednesday 1600 EST (Wednesday 2100 GMT+0) and Thursday 1000 EST (Thursday 1500 GMT+0). Recordings? Yes! 3/7
It has been in the works for quite a while, is focused around #flowcytometry data, and is the course that I wish had been available back in 2020 when I got thrown into the R deep-end. Schedule and course rationale can be found here: umgcccfcsr.github.io/CytometryInR...

Excited to officially announce our free "Cytometry in R" mini-course, aimed at coding beginners, will be starting up the first week of February! 🥳 It will be offered both online and in-person at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. 1500 people have signed up!!! #flowcytometry #rstats #quarto 1/7

At CYTO, it’s the people who make the experience unforgettable. Colleagues become friends, mentorships take shape, and a community comes together around a shared passion for cytometry.
When anyone scans the codes, they get the following notice. This was about a week of being up. I will go open up an issue in case it is a third party API thing.
Thanks Libby! Neither did I. Didn't find any obvious mentions in the documentation either after the fact, so kinda shocked given its on CRAN and no complaints about this aspect on the GitHub issues page.
Thanks Sivuyile!

Bought my laptop back in 2020, and #plannedobsolescence be dammed, I will use it until it disintegrates. Just swapped out the dying battery, and not worrying about finding the charger after 10 minutes unplugged is nice! Similar story for last years RAM upgrades and #Linux dual-boot.
