Hello blue sky, it's been a while. The Hancock and Rice labs are proud to announce our recent single-molecule work on microtubule dynamics by Sarada Mondal. New intermediate binding state of tubule to Mt end. GTP hydrolysis preferentially weakens lateral interactions.

Agreed! And the fact that I'm reading an article in Applied and Industrial Microbiology because I saw it on Bluesky reinforces this message. In my time on grant review panels and tenure committees, I find that papers published in society journals are regarded highly.

It was a good year for me and Barbara Kingsolver. Was blown away by Demon Copperhead, incredible voice and incredible story. So I then picked up Poisonwood Bible and read that, also incredible but yes sort of rakes you over the coals that one.
