I agree that liberals/socialists need not invite conservative policy into the tent! But we also must recognize how vital anti-imperial sentiment on the right is to both (a) restraining the GOP and (b) supporting anti-war efforts of the Dems. Just praise good things without judgement or suspicion!
I get this reaction, but my point is that partisan squabbling that divides people is precisely how the entrenched and powerful prevent change. Anti-imperial and anti-capitalist movements have genuine purchase on the left and right and cultivating both is necessary to achieve real change.
Personally find this (very popular on bluesky) opinion very frustrating in the way it elevates partisan squabbling over policy advocacy. Advancing policy in America requires broad support. Want to end a war? You need conservative support. Want to break up monopolies? It better poll ok w/ the GOP.
