There're reasons I am upset when I see failures to officiate safety when there is precedential history for death. There're reasons I despise promotors caring to put themselves front & center. And there're reasons I care so much about talking about it b/c there is nothing like it.

I was once asked if I felt guilty watching/enjoying combat sports & it took me too long to say 'no'. What I can feel guilty about is commodifying them as action figures alone instead of people with competitive poise and willpower that inspires us to our cores. That matters to me.
One reason I'm so adamant about things, technique-wise or historical records and introducing and talking about as much as I can is bc I don't believe the competitors get the respect they deserve. If I can even contribute to the memory they give in the process, I'll do what I can.
Yer boy here pretty sure he just nailed his master's application interview. I'm so excited, learned new things about myself I never caught before.

I think, once again, I find myself massively embarrassed that a sport I enjoy has become dominated by its desire to be affiliated with the worst people in history and make a show of it instead of getting to be inspired by the people who made the sport have momentum to begin with.
Shame to hear about the Khazan devs, they basically made a game with sekiro-like combat that is as actually as fun as people claim sekiro's combat is.
Finished Gundam Victory. Immensely bizarre yet incredibly fascinating. It surprised me to find that it's ending episodes might well be perfect? I'm not sure I'll ever rewatch for all its flaws & b/c the pacing gave me a headache. But I absolutely will be thinking about things.
Like even if this all ends without an escalation from the present level of bloodshed Trump and his administration should be held accountable for the threat alone. Making this threat, on its own, is a crime against humanity.
For those wondering, it was tales of arise. Immeasurably boring experience littered by the world’s most totally confusing virtue signaling, hand-holding a sign saying “here’s what it means” plot.
I never really talk nor write about games I dislike. I’ve got my preferences and I can articulate that. And besides, can only think of one game I disliked in the last few yrs that I could write about, but I only gave it 3 hrs and I’m not sure I want to give it more thought. It’s not worth my time.
What? Getting your back to the ropes is always bad? Not necessarily, not if you have some ideas like Emile Griffith.
Sometimes, you read plot criticism without ever engaging on its premises and choosing the most strawman-based route and it's exceptionally boring.
and durability displays cause, i mean, look at it
@dogemperor.bsky.social this is what you have done to me yes i am resorting to gaslighting
I have been told to post here more often by sources who shall remain nameless, so I'd like to begin with an update on gundam watching
Every episode of gundam victory is: constantly depressing ways to increase one child's ptsd meanwhile he's a genius and everyone else is lost or stupid
Ft. some of the coolest exchanging you'll see in your life
this is a recreation of my childhood please stop i will hire a legal team
Insanely funny timing to make this post in that I finished my replay of ReCoM the other day and forgot this stupid joke
bsky.app/profile/type...
>realizing i completely forgot my intended joke that i've never played the gba version because i'm a two-dimensioned person and am attempting to fix my reputation
Many believe adjustments are usually complex, but, as Eddie Alvarez showed in his win against Justin Gaethje, they can be simple. Here's how a rather, seemingly simple read paid enormous dividends.

Replaying Nocturne is a long overdue endeavor, probably later this year. It's very funny, SMT is one of my favorites, but I'm never really into replaying a lot of them. Though on the subject of turn-based RPGs, Lost Odyssey will prob. come before that.
When replaying ReCoM, the two fights I was looking forward to were Marluxia and Zexion. Having just beaten the latter in a nail-baiter, I can say they lived up to that memory.
Very familiar w/ him. And they should 100% make more like him, not bc it's 100% fair, but because fuck you, learn & maybe still die fights should exist in games.
This does remind me, got to finally get around to SMT5 (spec. vengeance) cause the Demi-fiend version in that one looks legit fantastic.
I'm very mechanics-minded when it comes to RPGs, so I love SMT quite a bit. Picking one from that wasn't easy. Stephen I did like, just a preference thing. Still, b/c even SMT boss design can be broken open w/ the right planning/allocations. YHVH allows that, but you're never safe, even w/ 2 teams.
5x5 of my favorite bosses 1 per franchise
spending my night thinking about ol' ZOTE2's death star boss
Least intuitive man currently trying to remember how the hell he did certain things he hasn't done in years.
