you're going to have to get your ears into the water and you are not going to want to do that but if you don't then you will surely sink and drown, this is just the way of it

The Teletubby Sun Is All Grown Up! And It Thirsts For Blood

When I talk about the power of the theatrical experience, this is exactly what I'm talking about. There's something about being present in the moment that can truly elevate a film, and I've rarely seen an audience as invested as I did watching Speed Racer in a packed theater. It's a truly one of a kind film, a visual delight from beginning to end. Every single shot is so layered and dynamic, the film presents an alternate reality in which CGI is allowed to draw attention to itself. The first and last fifteen minutes are some of the most engaging sequences I've ever seen, managing to weave together so many different moments into something truly cathartic.

I get why Speed Racer didn't land for audiences in 2007 and I get why it won't land for everyone now, but watching it with a crowd of people who could not have been more thrilled to go along for the ride is one of the best cinematic experiences of my life.

watching speed racer in imax is a truly overwhelming and transcendent experience that justifies my love for the movie theater

I post about being A Lesbian a whole lot but honestly because it is the part of my identity I feel strongest about. Yeah I am trans and a woman and queer and a thousand other things but if I had to pick a single thing that resonates the most as Me

Lesbian. It's my gender, it's my sexuality, it's me

"evil, but clever [complimentary]"

shhhh, it's alright

no need to think, now

you'll sleep veeeeery cozy, and i'll come get you for breakfast

// pat pat //

i've never had any complaints about the tensile strength of my webbing

the messiness, maybe

but not the strength ๐Ÿ–คโค๏ธ๐Ÿ–ค

ah, well, "huge" was your word, not mine

i have no ability to determine depth or scale

you'd think eight eyes would give you a ~better~ sense of scale, but ooooh no, we'll just reserve the ~good~ eyesight for the wolf spiders, because ~they~ need it for running around all night

vibration, tho...

apology accepted ๐Ÿ˜˜ i'm sure you'll be a much smaller bitch after a little bit of creative liquidation

2 days ago 3 0 1 0

here, i can help you with that

i can dissolve webbing quite easily with my saliva

drooling? neurotoxins? i'm sure you confused me with some other spider

// click clack click //

oh dear, you seem to be still stuck, just hanging by a foot now instead of by your arms

i'm sure it's more comfortable

do it

write it terrible

then put it in a drawer for a week or two

see how you feel after that

2 days ago 1 0 0 0

write it as hard as you can. maybe it will be terrible, but that's fine. when it needs to get out, get it out, let it be what it is even if that is terrible. then, read it tomorrow and find the odd bits and bobs that you meant to write better.

and write them better next time.

well, well, that is a surprise

i would have figured the vampire title gave ~more~ emphasis on the sanguivore nature

unrelatedly, do you have much experience with ฮฑ-latrotoxin?

i generally find it less effective against insects, but i suppose i can be a bit snobbish with my neurotoxins

part of me (not a therapist) wants to make a joke about challenges and dark souls

but the more sensitive part of me (gf ~is~ a therapist) says therapists are just like that

they tend to be better people than us
