John Roberts’ Wife Made Millions From Bribes
Roberts accepted $10 Million in bribes disguised as recruiting fees from Law firms with cases pending before the Supreme Court.

It’s a telling indicator of media desensitization that the US government’s ongoing program of murder on the high seas—which according to the perpetrators has killed fourteen (14) people this week— is no longer a subject for much serious or sustained news coverage.
Genuinely funny that Sonia Sotomayor issued a public apology today for her mild criticism of a conservative colleague on a specific, substantive issue, and then a few hours later Clarence Thomas picked up a mic and was like ALL LIBERALS ARE AMERICA-HATING COWARDS
evangelicals eagerly, gleefully pretended not to see the myriad ways trump is the most heretical politician to hold american higher office in modern history so i don't think we should take their outrage as sincere now that they need a way out of his sinking coalition
I remain convinced that one of the most important things the next Democratic president can do to avoid falling victim to a Biden-style vibecession is to mercilessly, relentlessly crack down on crypto and organized gambling. Just go full scorched-earth.
"Scammers are writ large doing better than honest people who play by the rules" also doesn't actually have to be true (I don't know if it is) for the sentiment to absolutely destroy the national vibes.
I do not regret to inform you that we are going to win
holy shit he actually conceded
folks, they tell you they’re invincible
they tell you they’re inevitable
they tell you that you should give up and stop fighting
and absolutely none of that is true
The DNC Resolutions Committee has passed my resolution to hold Trump Administration officials legally accountable for their crimes.
Assuming the whole packet passes on Friday, it will become the official position of the national Democratic Party.
Brought to you by the same dudes that did a bank run on their own bank after a founder group chat
It’s called the Cycle of Abuse or the Walker Wheel: calm followed by rising tension, the explosion of violence, the reconciliation, the incremental intensification of violence over time.
"Schumer takes no action" will be on his tombstone
This is simply genocidal language and is a horror in itself.

Uninsured rate for children, by state. Texas accounts for a quarter of all children without health insurance in America.
we'll see how it shakes out over the course of years, but as of right now, mamdani is definitely showing how the future of good progressive governance means "use government to do good things and then post about it"
both parts are important!
I think especially because the news media has recently demonstrated what "we think the president is incompetent and that he should not be in office" looks like in how they covered Biden post-debate and don't do the same for Trump
Yes this is good but also infuriating, millions of people deserve to get smacked upside their empty melons. Literally none of this is a surprise. It's not like Trump feigned he was going to be a moderate this time around, he repeatedly promised he was going to be much worse on every front.
No real problem with ordinary folks asking about the 25th, but every time a congressman asks for the cabinet to remove a president you should read that as them abdicating their own duty to pursue impeachment through congress
I'm a bit of a broken record on this, but usurping the power of the purse isn't just one constitutional violation among all the many others. It is, uniquely and singularly, the death of constitutional government altogether. Game over, end of story, you now live in an autocracy.
"Bridge day" is a logical extension of the whole of Trump's promise to Americans from the start of his campaign 11 years ago: he'll use the state to kill the hated other and he'll do it without apology.
Repealing the Hague Invasion Act and nullifying Trump v United States have to be central planks.
not to downplay the severity of what's cominb but the entire fall campaign of just executing boats full of civilians in the caribbean was a screaming klaxon that illegality of the order is no obstacle for Hegseth's Department of Warcrimes
There is no excuse for downplaying or eliding the insanity of Trump’s morning post. It is the most unhinged public comment by a president in US history and should be reported and remarked upon as such.
At this point, simply enforcing existing laws would be indistinguishable from a political purge, and we need to do it. Section 3 of the 14th Amendment alone could clear out Trump's entire cabinet and most Republicans in Congress.
the Democrats need to announce that anyone who drops a bomb on Iranian civilian infrastructure will die in prison
Everyone involved in these illegal strikes (including the pilots) needs to be in prison.
The US reportedly waited to strike the bridge in Iran a second time until rescue workers and others in the area gathered to help the wounded, which then killed at least eight people. Authorities in Iran are describing it as an act of terrorism.
reminder that the number one issue that the press covered in 2016, the one they told voters was THE MOST IMPORTANT thing in the election, was Hillary Clinton's compliance with Presidential Records Act record-keeping
I think often of a New York Times photo of a little Iraqi girl tending to her parakeets in a bombed house, probably from 20 years ago now. I will think of this man and his sweet dog often now too. People just want to love what they love, care for their little beings, and instead we do this to them
I am so tired of being told that because I live in a coastal city I don’t count as a Real American and it is especially grating coming from my own party
