Oh this is true beyond question; I’m however sceptical that it would, at least in the immediate term, make a significant difference to US foreign policy that would stave off crimes against humanity. Not that they shouldn’t do so! But the power to affect change remains centred in the US itself.
Both obviously have elements of truth but there’s only so much the rest of the world can do; understanding it’s a terrible and difficult situation USians find themselves in, they realistically are the only ones with any latitude. Massive general strikes and the withdrawal of labour, for instance.

This morning there is a mix of non-Americans thinking Yanks should act (and not recognising that that’s very dangerous), and Yanks saying that that’s very dangerous (and therefore it’s everyone else’s problem and not theirs).
