The live wolverine mascots Michigan had in the 1920s is probably up there
Streetlight Manifesto "The Presence of the Past" tour poster, showing gundams and a collection of lovable rogues in a dieselpunk-esque desert environment
Love how Streetlight Manifesto tour posters are always just some cool-looking shit that has nothing to do with the music whatsoever
Maybe I should stop looking into teaching high school, they'd eat me alive
Once while covering someone else's class I used the phrase "grease the wheels"and a student muttered back "grease the wheels" in a mocking voice and people started laughing and I'm still mad about it
Staten Island is probably actually a pretty nice place to live I bet
At least I don't have to worry about the tickets getting too expensive
Why is your conclusion 150 pages
Think I need to stop wearing my Mets cap because the bad luck is starting to seep into other parts of my life

Personally don't recommend these. As the article notes, these properties are typically achieved through PFAS, which can shed carcinogens in your home (which you then inhale) or come out in the wash (polluting waterways for decades). Will try to do a thread on how to treat stains in the wash.
Oh goodness, how did that happen?
I'll be presenting at the American Association for Italian Studies this June in Sassari, on the Italian Communist Party's anti-Red Brigade strategies
Israel is using Caterpillar D9 bulldozers to destroy homes in Lebanon and Palestine right now. Our tax dollars pay for all of it.
The Senate will vote this week to block Trump’s $295 million giveaway of these bulldozers to Israel.

Where does the claim that Miller is an Israeli asset come from? Nothing would surprise me, but the thing that's always surprised me about Miller is how weirdly disconnected his ideological project and public speaking seems to be from Israel compared to his MAGAfascist compatriots
"Now, a break-up of the two party parliamentary system in America is undoubtedly a good thing... But this break-up of the two-party system and splits in the bourgeois parties come about under the pressure of social crisis. These are not our tasks."
All these conversations of how to respond to Carlson's antiwar turn bring me back to this old James Cannon discussion of the Henry Wallace campaign (forgive my residual Trotskyism)
All of his Schneerson dollars probably added to it
Foucault wasn't an anarchist because he was not a proponent of anarchism
"Paul Robeson" by Gwendolyn Brooks (1917-2000) That time we all heard it, cool and clear, cutting across the hot grit of the day. The major Voice. The adult Voice forgoing Rolling River, forgoing tearful tale of bale and barge and other symptoms of an old despond. Warning, in music-words devout and large, that we are each other’s harvest: we are each other’s business: we are each other’s magnitude and bond. That time we all heard it, cool and clear, cutting across the hot grit of the day. Happy birthday to the big guy himself
Well, other than our actual Afghan War,
"This is a distraction" is just a lie. "They are taking your money and using it to commit criminal acts beyond our comprehension" is 100% true. I think we should tell the truth and not the lie. The latter also has the benefit of at least somewhat centering the issue of atrocities.
Lot of talk about "Israel makes the world less safe for Jews because its policies stoke antisemitism" but we've forgotten the old classic "Israel makes the world less safe for Jews by blowing up Middle Eastern synagogues"
More photos from Israel bombing Rafie Nia Synagogue in Tehran
Mamdani is not just filling the potholes with the crew. He's creating a visual and personal reminder of the dignity inherent in all of these anonymous government jobs.
idk what "killed" means anymore, apparently
