May this one be free of Saudi princes!
Something positive: Spry Fox is spinning out of Netflix. We are independent (once again!) and preparing to launch Spirit Crossing.
We wrote up a little blog post musing about this wild adventure. Worth sharing the good news.

But no matter how broken it is, all the literature I've seen is that it should be equivalent at worst thanks to Fullscreen Optimization. And my rendering hat wants to agree, but I haven't seen an actual counter example to justify the decision.
Might I ask which game that was? I'm currently hesitating whether I should even spend the effort trying to get exclusive fullscreen to work at all in our title. (We're currently considering removing the option altogether, Vulkan fullscreen is literally broken in Unreal 5.5!)
Best TikTok thing going is the two dudes trying food from every country without leaving NYC. If you haven’t seen them yet, it’s incredible. My favorite so far is last week’s. Legit got me emotional.
Patches from Fromsoft games. Bald man in armor and no eyebrows.
"I asked ChatGPT"
"I asked Grok"
Well I asked Patches and he said "There, that hole. Take a closer look."
I am legit looking for a "Total market, minus AI" ETF to diversify my 401k.
We already have 1000+ reasons to hate """artist""" James C Mulligan (see below), but it was extra enraging to see him stealing and taking credit for the work of actual Bambi artist and all-around Disney legend Tyrus Wong, so here's a mini Ted Talk 🧵
Mind spoiling it? Curious what this is referring to, I have a certain thing in mind that I definitely would not have noticed without an accidental spoiler.
Did the coffee taste caustic?
Pappadeaux is the pro move. Top notch gumbo and crawfish étouffée. Probably the best airport food I've ever had!
There's a Discover tab??
Most experts acknowledge that a takeover by artificial intelligence is coming for the video game industry within the next five years, and executives have already started preparing to restructure their companies in anticipation. After all, it was one of the first sectors to deploy A.I. programming in the 1980s, with the four ghosts who chase Pac-Man each responding differently to the player's real-time movements.
This is an insane thing to write about game development. www.nytimes.com/2025/07/28/a...
The original Swype remains best in class, I had to turn on my old Pixel 2 which still has it installed and found myself able to type a couple of sentences without having to stop to correct every 5th word. What a concept!
Have you looked into Windows 10 LTSC?
Send thoughts and prayers, of course.
Take Snake River Farms wieners away from the people, and they will finally rise up
sickos meme re-done with mac, paws on a window barking. he has a collar with a bone nametag that says "sickos" and he's saying "ROO... BOOWOO WOO... ROO!"

Their sausage is also absolutely top notch. My grocery store stocks them for Oktoberfest and I make sure to stock the freezer full of them whenever that comes around.
It’s FFXI, except you don’t have to wait an hour to have a bunch of randos murder you at Valkurm Dunes. You can murder yourself with your terrible gambit setup!
tweet that reads "the student that does not cheat has internalized the moral code of the oppressor."
Dress it up in progressive language but you're cheating yourself by not doing the work. This is the worst thing about AI: millions of students refusing to learn, taking zero interest in the world around them, empty in mind and heart. Your punishment is the person you will become.
The primary criteria for balance decisions is spiting players that personally annoy us on the internet. If you provide that reasoning to other designers or directors, they respect it under the Nemesis Rule.
We somehow had everything available to clear out the tunnel in one run after finishing the crate removal. Except that blue door.
Had to look up spoilers to progress past it, but all I’ll say is if you have other leads to explore, they may well converge towards the blue door.
Shameless plug: if you want to read way too many words about it, take a look: cdrom.ca/games/cancon...
I’m still so damn salty about getting laid off by Eidos Montreal.
Not because of the job, that place was a toxic cesspool. But they never gave me back my Max Payne mousepad.
Sure, but saying “I think games cost a lot to make and thus we should charge more for them” is a good way to attract an online lynch mob!
I’m torn. If that raise actually went to developers, I’d be supporting this so we don’t get laid off as much and maybe get better conditions. But I know deep in my heart that this will mostly be used to line Phil Spencer’s pockets.
Anne Babbage disapproves.
