The Calvin's dad explaining records meme. He is explaining that the two kinds of meme are Calvin's dad and Loss. Despite being a meme about Calvin's dad, this one is Loss.

Politics has unexpectedly hit a special interest of mine so here is a quick rundown on the Avignon Papacy.
All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely remakes.
It has been discovered that Charles Dickens 'A Tale of Two Cities,' was serialised in a couple of local newspapers.
It was the Bicester times

It's that classic Douglas Adams quote:
"I love deadlines. I love the whooshing noise they make as they go by.”
I'm willing to lay down cash that someone made that drawing as a sketch to illustrate the requirement of the system in this state...
...and it was meticulously implemented exactly as is, rather than being recognised as an indicative doodle.

Given how much the producers enjoyed setting up an explosion for every ad break, I have to wonder if it was the writers being restrained or their military advisors wanting to down play a particular flavour of gung ho. Event horizon diplomacy has a certain sparkle to it, though.
I am actually going to start a campaign for "off to breach the Workplace Regulations" to be a new euphemism for going to the loo.
Hilarious LRR office discussion of the curling debacle, in which we—as Canadians—are disappointed.

Cover drawn by me, featuring the character Amos Burton standing in a crowd with his gun drawn. In the foreground two shadowed figures approach him, also carrying guns. Like all four covers, it is coloured in a cyan and magenta colour scheme.
Amos hides behind a walk, protecting a young girl from two security types looking for them. He has his gun drawn and has one hand pressed against his side, where blood is visible leaking from a wound.
Amos is being punched in the face by a large guy with a beard and a shaved head. His head is covered in Belter tattoos.
Amos kneels on the floor in a dark room, looking exhausted. He is surrounded by the dead bodies of people he has shot. From behind him, a figure emerges from the darkness with a gun pointed at his head.
Here's all four covers I did for THE EXPANSE: A LITTLE DEATH

Just write what you know. If you just write "what you know", you've got three words, and no matter how many times you repeat it, it's still going to be a crappy story.
Wave/particle duality is particularly problematic at sea, yes.
