Good luck. And I hope you consider the spreading math on a stick program again in the future, I wasn’t able to get in in time this year. Still a goal to go someday!

Math folks awhile back I saw a post about I do, we do, you do and some information that it was not researched in math the same way in literacy. Now I can’t find it. I think it was post conference. Maybe it was before Bluesky? @tjmath.bsky.social @cmcmath.bsky.social @nctm.org @pamseda1.bsky.social
@dana802math.bsky.social have you read this yet?

That free exploration is how most manipulatives are presented in elementary but lost by middle school. I had to wait out middle schoolers to start free play with the wooden block set but then they didn’t want to stop when it was time.
@mathforlove.bsky.social and why is this so hard to change?
"In a math classroom, I heard a student say, 'Let's use what we know to figure out what we don't know.' They didn't run to the teacher, raise their hand or give up. They collaborated to problem-solve and they productively struggled! That's a culture of safe vulnerability." —LEADER KATIE PEREZ
