In my county, you can’t. I went to see if he was chipped at the shelter. You have to surrender the dog for 7 days to give the owners a chance to claim them. Regardless of abandonment or not.

They might, I didn’t ask, but I would just tell myself it’s a donation to justify it. 😂

Contrary to most people in today, I took care of him first without thinking about clout. Hopefully, they post his pic on the lost and found page at the shelter soon. I can share it then.

I wouldn’t know if he’s refusing food. I took him to the shelter so they can check him out and make sure he is ok and the owners have a chance to claim him. He’s not sitting in my living room starving himself.

I didn’t take a pic of him, and they haven’t released a photo of him on the website yet for their owner to pick him up if they even care. But if I can adopt him. He’s gonna have so many photos posted.

Someone abandoned their senior wiener dog on a street near me. He can barely get around, is all bones. So I scooped him up, gave him all the love and all the “good boy”s, and am slated to adopt him in a week!
