Had a wonderful time at the Nellie Stone Johnson Scholarship Dinner with fellow Union leaders from across the state. I am so proud of my Union and many others who continue to support one of our labor giants and the students who are our future!

Black women are three times more likely to die at childbirth than other women in this country. As your next representative, I will advocate for equitable and responsible maternal healthcare policies that will address such harm.

Minister Faith is a powerhouse and true advocate for young people to be involved in our democracy. I look forward to building the bench and bringing them into our process. It is time for change, especially for our young people.

Women contribute so much to our economy! Too many women, especially black women, have lost their jobs at the federal level. This leads to economic instability. We must protect strong union jobs, and promote job growth and development.

What a great time at the DNC Black Caucus

We had a great discussion about organizing black voters and how many feel left behind by our party. We must change that

….for Minnesotans.

We deserve leadership that shows up—it’s time for change. As your next congresswoman, I will deliver community centered change that brings all of Congressional District 5 to the table.

As a mother, grandmother, union leader, and career probation officer, I’ve spent my life serving people and I’m ready to bring that same commitment and fight to Congress. We talked about real solutions: criminal justice reform, second chances, and moving beyond division…

…initiatives that address the concerns of community. As your next representative, I will bring forward legislation that addresses inefficiency in rehabilitation initiatives, more support for community programming and prioritizes workers who keep our justice system working.

It was great talking to CD5 constituents this weekend! Some of the most important issues to them:

1. Affordability
2. Housing
3. Student loans
4. Immigration
5. Data center’s

As your next representative, I will bring solutions to the table so that we all can thrive. #CD5

And this is why people of color are leaving the Democratic Party. So many think they speak for marginalized community members. Our voices matter. They will speak in November.💯

Respecting how people want to identify goes both ways. It’s very important. I assume that most Democrats want to respect people’s pronouns.

I have had a great conversations in Community about top issues of constituents. So many people are feeling disenfranchised, unheard and feel as if their voices are being drowned out by the few that don’t listen to others. I will be a representative that listens to everyone, even if we don’t agree.
