Last night, I rewatched The Big Gundown. I’ve been listening to the score so I figured I’d watch the movie. I’d say it’s my favorite western. Introduced me to Tomas Milian, my GOAT. Van Cleefs face is carved from marble. The Morricone score elevates it even higher. Beautiful locations.

I don’t think I will ever get over this movie. I think you saved it for the perfect time because I don’t think it would have hit so hard for me earlier. I might have thought it was just racist and discounted it. It’s still apeshit crazy but… something is there.
