Kings won after the all star break because the young guys hustled and played defense and cut and moved on offense maximizing their limited talent AND they had a softer schedule.
The vets are so soft on D they have to score 120 to be in most games.
Horrible mix of talent on the Kings

I won’t be ecstatic but will be happy if the Kings go no higher than 7, which they have a 91% chance of doing. 6 is only a 60% chance and 5 is 45% .
If the Kings get the 7 pick Flemings wouldn’t be a bad consolation prize
If Perry wants me to drive him and/or Zach to or from airports or recommend a good contract attorney I’ll be there to help.
Getting rid of Zach speeds up the rebuild unless Scott does something Morantic.
The real question for the Kings off season is how much money would be enough in a 3 year contract for Zach to opt out to go to a top 6 team ?
Off course deal would have to be set before he opts out.
If he opts in he gets 49 and then a 2 yr for 60. 109 over 3 seasons.
A 3 year at 36 is break even.
The tricky part of this is that now you have to get 16 playoff wins to be champ. In the early runs for Russell and Jones they only had to win 4 to be Champions.
If the Kings & Jazz both lose tonight they each get assigned 115 ping pong balls. A Kings loss & Jazz win they get 125 Jazz 105 if it goes the opposite way Kings get 105 and the Jazz get the 125 . It’s about a 2% difference at worst
If they end up tied Jazz get pick 34 Kings 35 in second round
Which team would win best of 7?
Sabonis Murray DeRozan LaVine Westbrook Monk
Cardwell Raynaud Achiuwa Clifford Carter Plowden
If the Blazers win tonight they’ll have a huge motivation to beat the Kings in the final game. If they lose they can play their scrubs. Big game for Kings.
Kings drafted a point guard for about a zillion years in a row. Drafting for fit has never been their thing.
Sucking at drafting has been their thingf
I do think they need to grab a guy with star potential, even if risky, over a guaranteed starter who won’t sniff the All Star level.
I forgot Hunter. Mediocre but decent defender. I left Monk off figuring he is surely gone.
Bombshelters
Let’s say the Kings get a 6’8” or over guy in the draft. This probably means the Sabonis for Barrett trade takes place. Say the worse happens and the have to pay DDR his guaranteed $.
Starters Barrett, Clifford, Murray, 6’8” guy, Raynaud
Bench, Cardwell, LaVine,Plowden, Carter
How do you feel?
Their top 5 players for minutes this season are 2 rookies and a guy who was out of the league at the start of the season. When Westbrook got hurt they started a 2nd year guy who played 35 games last yr. They bring an undrafted rookie & a 28 yr old G league guy off the bench for big minutes.
1) don’t count out 9th just yet
2) chances for 1-5 have barely changed moving one to four.
The only major change is if it all goes very very wrong, maybe 3-5% chance they could get the 8 instead of worse case get the 5. But odds for 1-4 haven’t changed much
If we can dump LaVine and move DeRozan in the off season but can’t unload Sabonis AND, 1 more if here, Raynaud can play some double digit minutes at PF would you be okay with a Sabonis, Murray, Raynaud, Achiuwa Cardwell front line?
How about if came with a 1st rd PG Clifford Monk Carter & Plowden?
There are 3 guys in the top 6 that can play PG who would kill a Sabonis for RJ Barrett trade. If they land 1 of the other 3 I think it’s a done deal.
I think the Kings will win 2 games Nets and NO (50/50) so it would be nice if Utah could win a couple too.
I think they could win one if the 2 Warrior games unless Curry comes back.
If the lose the Nets game, 4th is clinched with a slim chance for 3.
So your most provocative moments are motionless?
That one dollar with NO CENTS
Agree. But the NBA needs to go to a hard cap and cut all the shenanigans.
Big market teams can pay the penalty tax and still make more profit than small market teams.
I didn’t know they had 16 year old angels.
I’m starting to join the club that if Carter could hit 36% from 3 he’d be a very serious player.
The league average for 3 point is 36%.
On the Kings currently playing only Malik 40% and seldom played Doug 39% are above it.
Then comes Westbrook 34
Nique and Precious 33 DeMar 32.
EVERYBODY ELSE IS BELOW 30 !
Shooters need to be prioritized but can’t be void of Defense
End of season total wins at their current rates for the last 10 games
Nets 15 wins ( 0-10)
Kings 18 ( 2-8)
Pacers 19 (2-8)
Wizards 20 (2-8)
Jazz 25 (3-7)
Pelicans 30 (5-5)
Then he should tell us the offending quote so it’s not just innuendo not dance around it and diverting when they ask him to clarify.
But…but….AI gathers info from multiple sources, like news sites, which will have news written by AI and news will be AI dissecting the regurgitating other AI articles
If the Kings continue at their current pace they will win a total of 18.5 games , let’s go bad luck and say they win 19.
Ind has to go 3-18 to be worse
3-19 for BKN
2-20 for Was
0-20 for Utah
And they have games against each.
Westbrook is a hall of famer etc etc. how come he has never figured out he can’t shoot?
