In a country with a proper opposition party, these kinds of numbers would turn the 2028 election into something like playing basketball against a fish
(Sorry I put an emoji version of a dollar sign because it woulda thought it was some crypto currency)
RYM must be having a brain fart. Going to 💲quib's page got me the discography for Kraftwerk
Please leave Twitter it just isn't salvageable anymore
The Speak It Mountains is a genuinely harrowing Gorillaz song and I don't that in a "it's low quality" way-- it feels like a sudden anxiety attack just when you were calm and still a moment ago
I'll plug this. While Bob McKnight's work fell a bit outside of my sphere of experience growing up, knowing the depth of his legacy even adjacently now is enough to make its preservation absolutely top priority, especially during this ongoing period of unspeakable larceny against our industry

Mr. Krupp from the Captain Underpants books stands in a decimated landscape and points upward, shouting at the chaotic structure covered with giant Jax heads from the poster for The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act. A caption reads, "Hey, bub," shouted Mr. Krupp, "I've had just about enough of your shenanigans!"
In reference to the album "pale machine" by bo en and its album art, a pixelated drawing of the Plane from Cheesy hfj's ONE and the Circus Grounds from The Amazing Digital Circus. Like the pale machine album cover, it is divided into equal sections, a light background above and a dark background below. The Plane (a grassy orb with clouds, small trees, a swimming pool at the top and a sun above it, floats in the light section, colored in the same vibrant hues of that of the album cover. A large headphone-like jack is plugged in at the planet's bottom, and its cord extends into the dark section, where all is dark gray, white or teal. In this section, the cord leads to the bottom of the floating landmass of the Circus Grounds (appearing upside down compared to the Plane): on its flat top is a field of grass and tress, on top of that a large circus tent with hills behind it. And above (below, from our point of view) the Circus, stars and a crescent moon. (As a final detail, the color palettes of the light and dark halves are shown as squares in the top left and bottom right corners, respectively.)
hold me, I'm a pale machine

I'm lonely, with my pale machine

hell, i don't doubt that kersti would be significantly less despised if she was a boy that was otherwise written the exact same as canon
man who tries to destroy all reality vs woman who plays an instrumental role in saving the world but sometimes makes fun of luigi, guess which one is more hated
during four-week periodic cycles lacking a "bandcamp friday event" specimen exhibits signs of withdrawal. clearly disregulated, he scavenges for free download codes in desperation

That's fair. With Wayside I definitely get a hunch they took the concept in a more saturday morning cartoon direction because of limitations brought by CanCon regulations: animation work is hard enough as it is so I wouldn't blame people making compromises to meet goals with less stress
Honestly a pet peeve of mine when people say something's a Bad Adaptation because it dares take a loose approach or go for a vibe any different from the source material (i.e Home, Wayside). I guess Little Mermaid is a Bad Adaptation because she doesn't get sent to Readers' Morality Purgatory
With printed media, you can just store it in a warehouse. When some company says "we never said that," you can go to the archives, fetch a newspaper, and that ends the argument. When the companies on their websites change stories, there is no archive outside the Internet Archive.

When preservation is caught in the crossfire, it’s not just libraries that lose—it’s the public’s access to history, knowledge, and truth.
The web shouldn’t disappear behind closed doors.
