Agree with this. I am afraid Mikel/Berta/Edu talent ID when it comes to attackers is a proven blindspot. Mikel must add an attacking coach to his staff that can help profile attackers. If target play, box movement and heading makes the difference in this system, how the hell did go for Gyok lol

I hear you, we have way more issues than just Gyok. I watch a lot of football and in particular loads of prem games. Gyokores according to me, service or no service, is in the lower tier of strikers than anywhere close to the upper tier. Kai is mid tier. The one we really needed was Isak or Oshimen.

Did not know that, thanks for correcting me. I made the wrong conclusion, it sure as hell, don't feel like they are looking for him. Coming out with so few touches and shots when the stats say your team mates target you is probably an even more indicting reflection on his quality then my projection

I'm sorry Sly, the reason they're not passing it to him is because he is not the levels, it is as simple as that. Jesus and Havertz gets the ball all the time. A striker that don't shots off is not a good striker imo. His box movement and heading ability is also really poor.

Thats it, I'll always back an Arsenal player + I'm Swedish ffs and he took us to the world cup lol. But, the biggest indicator to me regarding level is "how much does your team mates trust you and do they give you the ball", these players don't trust him at all, we don't even need data for this.

Meaning more and more tight games for us, less opportunity to do in game rotation/rest. When we finally killed the Eddie experiment and put Kai up top 23/24 stadiums was empty by halftime and we could rest players in game. Surprise suprise, all our best players was fit and ready for the run-in.

The ripple effects of having Gyok up top is the most underated part of this whole convo. More than anything, his team mates don't trust him, they avoid passing it to him and when they do, they don't commit to running off him as they expect him to lose the ball.

Perfectly said. If the messaging ain't landing then something has to give. Think about everything Arteta has said since Wolves away and how much of that we actually see on the pitch. The whole "how do we want to live the next 4 months" talk just hasn't landed with the group imo. But time will tell..

Agree, not a healthy discussion while we're still fighting for two trophies. For me, something must change though, independent of trophies, he needs to add to the coaching staff with attacking coaches, that hopefully has a say on player profile, just like Jover has a say in current profiles we buy.

Yes! Dissapointment over the result over. Minimum of 7 games to go. Give it your all and let’s revisit the next evolution of the club all summer.

There are so many ripple effect factors to him starting that goes even beyond his stats. His team mates actively avoid passing him the ball as they know he will lose it. On top of that we create way less with him on the pitch, which makes games against anyone very very tight, which has physical toll

Edu lacked when came to managing upwards, but with this he was fucking right. Biggest ick with Gyok is how weak he is. I mean how can you not be technical and also weak at the same time

I don’t mind strikers missing chances. All the best do. Yeah, it’s sad that he’s been injured/not fit. Gyok is just not levels, someone should the sack for that

Yeah that’s the stakes that makes the difference at this level. I totally see the logic, but can’t compromise with Gyok no more and it’s more or less to late. But we can win the UCL if Kai stay fit and starts every game up front from now on.

They don’t even look for him as they don’t trust him at all. What hell were we thinking. He is the first person I’d sell this summer.

Karma for the disallowed Muani goal I reckon. If we end up losing this title it’s because Mikel missing the mark yet again with not putting Kai upfront earlier. He missed the mark with 3/4 weeks. Can’t believe we went for Gyok. When your own players don’t give you the ball, you must be terrible…

No club have ever hurt us the way City have since they got UAE backing. They built their whole foundation by taking our players. Viera, Sagna, Toure, Clichy, Nasri and Adebayor. I am so disappointed we keep letting them play in our faces. Still games to go but I’m not hopeful at all. Hope I’m wrong

Brother I respect your opinion, but for players like Eze yesterday was the moment we needed him to turn up. Just score bro, everything else is just excuses. These guys need to deliver at the Ethiad away, that is the time to show up. Everything else is just waste of space.

Our top scorer has 9 non pen goals in the prem. We don’t have to look no further than that. Title winning teams always have 20+ attacker in their team. Whatever we do takes you close, but not rocket science you need a goal machine or someone going hot during crunch time.

I hear you bro. I love Eze, but can’t really baby these guys. 70m prem proven 27 y/o must deliver now. That’s the whole point of getting experienced players. Companies hire experience with the belief that they will be up and running quickly, football is no different.

I am afraid moving Kai upfront came 3/4 weeks too late to lift the prem. Yes, Kai is not clinical, but we at least look/feel more fluid and threatening going forward. We haven’t looked threatening for months. Reminds me so much of the time we moved Kai up top instead of Eddie two seasons ago.

2 days ago 1 0 1 0

I think the reason most of us don’t feel totally depressed is the uptick in perfomence. We felt threatening again. We haven’t felt threatening attacking wise for a very very long time. Beyond the Prem a perfomence like that increases our chance of playing a UCL final come May.

We know with certainty that he don’t get into them positions by now. His own team mates avoids passing him the ball at every opportunity and everyone that ever played football totally understand the reason. Like why the fuck would I willingly pass a guy that will lose it and make me run back

The humiliation we as fans have to take man. How can we always fall short everytime we approach a "must win" game. The amount of times I've said "surely this time we will win".....but nah again. I am so dissapointed. Between the manager and players they are just not killers #arsecastextra

Ethan is super talented, but he lacks intensity. Look at Max, he goes again and again and again. Ethan is finished after 2 or 3 actions at best. Ethan reminds a lot of ESR, very good when on the ball, but most of the game just pass him by.

Oh boy, these guys are just shitting on their own legacy. Rice, Ode, Saka (one Fa-cup as bench player), Saliba, Gabriel, Kai, Leo, Jesus, Raya, White, Timber, Martinelli have not won a single trophy with Arsenal. They are approaching their 4th full season at the club. Fucking losers, including Mikel

Fair enough! 55m is a lot of money. Can't believe we went ahead and got Noni for that sum. I like Noni, he's got the raw attributes, but so did Gervinho and look how that went.

2 days ago 0 0 1 0

Listen Ethan is talented, but more in the Hutchinson, Harvey Elliot, Mcatee tier than the Max and Rio tier. I would sell him without blinking. Just my opinion.

2 days ago 0 0 1 0

Should be plenty of interest in him from the likes of Newcastle and Evertons of this world. Just move him on. I'd keep Martinelli and let go Tross. Jesus should be shipped. One of Gyokores and Havertz must also be sold. I'd ship Gyokores as I don't rate the player at all.

I'll be honest, nobody is safe imo. Bar Saka and Max, don't care who else goes, these guys are just not good enough. All season I've had the feeling we are terribly coached when it comes to attacking + we have very poor attacking talent. I don't know if Arteta can coach an attack.
