hey so this is blatant false information punishing people for doing the right thing. no, it was not a "grabber". it was a reputable survey site that discord has used previously for limited surveys.

nothing can """grab""" information if you dont provide it, which an anonymous survey didnt ask for.

Hi! So this is a very personal piece. I haven’t drawn a self portrait in a good while and wasn’t really planning to but with the date I felt like I should do it. i was very hesitant to share this, but I feel that the benefits of baring my heart far outweighed my fear of being seen. Two years ago, I claimed I got top surgery. This is only partly true. Five years ago, in the middle of the pandemic, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I’m not going to share a lot of details, just that it was a trip to go through as someone who identifies as transmasculine, having been diagnosed with a disease that is very gendered in a country that still doesn’t recognize transgender people as who they are. There has been, and still is, an amount of disconnect from my body, whether that’s from my impossible aspirations for it, or that it had been poked and prodded at for so long it no longer feels like me, I couldn’t tell you. Regardless, it’s mine, and I have to live with it and shape it in the capacity I’m able to, within the limits of my health. Every body is unique, and i try to make my self and my body in conversation with each other. Instead of having expectations, I let myself be surprised by what my body is capable of despite of all that’s happened to it. I had always been reluctant to share this, since it’s very often that I will be recognized for the cancer first before my transness, but just like I am slowly accepting my body for what it is, I have to share this on my own terms. As an artist I put myself in my works all the time- if you ever wondered why some of my characters have unusual scars… well hahaha. This piece was hard to work on, but in some way, I hope my message comes through, or it resonates somehow. So hello! I’m a trans guy, and I had breast cancer. I’m still alive. 7 Nov 2025
