please don't do this. / is already a builtin shortcut in firefox
logical next step of everyone being paranoid that a minor might be following them
(sigh) you know what, close enough
[on phone with tanker] do you have a target store nearby?
the only bald eagle i've ever seen was one at the zoo they rescued because it hurt its wing and couldn't fly. that's why, if elected, i will immediately change our national symbol to be a raccoon eating half a cheeseburger out of a dumpster
did not have "us declares war on catholicism" on my bingo card but
updates are explicit and come down from the current "scene"
so the menu scene just draws on top of the world scene, without calling update on the world scene
[climbing out of my time machine to meet william shakespeare] hey "duckberg" doesn't rhyme with "duck blur", right? it's not just me?
wish i could be shiny ditto though
i love that pokopia lets you play as Ditto Color. they knew
a novelist? i think??
if you were wondering how america is doing: our local mall is struggling, so half of it has now been transmuted into a private christian church-school
and of course it makes sense that a culture bound together by "we believe in this god" would avoid admitting stuff like "but there are people who don't and they're fine and it's fine"
i think there are a lot of american christians whose only real exposure to non-christian ideas is from like, their pastor scoffing at a cardboard caricature of them. i've encountered multiple people who seem to believe that atheists secretly believe in god but just resent him for some reason
weird. they seem to have recorded 18 hours of static
wow that's kinda sick
this is 2D and none have arbitrary range (yet?) so that's not a problem
guess i'm thinking more like, do i assign light sources to slots in a persistent way and prefer keeping extant ones, or just collect them fresh every frame
what's a good way to render an arbitrary number of things with a fixed number of rendery slots they go in. i could make something up but this has been a problem since at least console days so i imagine it's well-trodden
(in thes particular case it's light sources)
they could be doing anything back there. they could be fucking the moon and we'd have no way to know. i bet they're fucking the moon and laughing that we can't see
ok but "i definitely understand god's intentions and they exactly match the first thought i had" is extremely common in american christianity
yeah bingo
yeah the reliable dispersal of knowledge is very different from the pursuit of it. everyone has something to gain by lying about something
knowing the US we would try to shoot them down
"i used to be a skeptic, only believing in science"
this is what people think skepticism is. but science isn't the set of things we already understand. it's the process we used to understand those things in the first place. to encounter a new thing and go "wow i'm abandoning science" is insane
sometimes i feel nuts seeing the permeation of the christian default, where even a hypothetical Nonbeliever would only ever entertain the existence of the christian god specifically, never any of the others. it's literally unthinkable. only an entirely different type of person would do that
"things just sort of happen arbitrarily because a powerful guy had a whim" isn't escapism that's exactly the problem with the real world
anyway in this stupid ass show i'm watching for some reason, the skeptic has now come around to "i guess it must be god", where, despite that we are reading ancient egyptian mythos for clues, it's just taken for granted by everyone that this implies the christian god, the only one who's real i guess
i've seen very little x-files but i'm glad she wasn't just The Wet Blanket
then they killed the entire pantheon with a Contraption. badass. more of this please
