This saddle material is gonna sound really nice once its done. Resonance gonna be nice. But its hard. Hand sanding the 12mm height down to 6mm would take years. So its time to DREMEL. Using my Walmart brand Hyper Tough dremel tool and its working quite well. I haven't injured myself...yet...

Buy a cheap guitar? Gotta set it up yourself. B string has had flat as hell intonation out of the box, so here's custom bridge saddle round 2. This is a blank that emulates bone, and I need a compensation towards the neck. It came long, so I cut it to length and glued the extra piece on.

You might describe be as an emery board enjoyer. Not quite an aficionado. I couldn't tell you my favorite brands of emery board, but as long as its small and has 1 side of heavy grit and one side of finishing high grit, I'm in. I'm on board. Emery board.

It's time to post links on bluesky again haha!! This is the 4th movement Corta Jaca, of the Suite Retratos by Radamés Gnattali. Gnattali was a Brazilian composer born in the early 1900s who was quite prolific. I love this piece!! youtu.be/J60evpmTp3c?...

Getting a measurement of strings from bridge saddle to nut. Original bridge saddle installed in photo, cheap plastic junk.

sitting at work thinking about how I just wanna go back home and practice classical guitar. Installed a new bridge saddle in my cheap Yamaha that gives it sharper tone, a slightly higher action, and kiiiiinda fixed some intonation issues. First bridge saddle I've ever done! Hand sanded.~

One of the hardest phone calls I've had to make was my last conversation with my grandma when she was in the hospital. It was surreal, sad, and difficult to compose myself. I wish I could have done it in person. Im sorry Hornet. <3

If you are feeling generous, even if it’s just 5¢ it would be greatly appreciated. My job at Daiso is only giving me 4 hours a week.. so I needed up loosing my snap food benefits. Any money donated will be used for food.

Got my hopes up about a car going through our shop that I was hoping to buy. 04 Accord V6 coupe. Super clean, low mileage. But, we're wholesaling it. I learned something about how financing a car that old isn't easy, so I will be patient. Besides, gotta pay off more debt and get my credit score up.

You stole your car!! Good thing you caught the perpetrator.

I think you've got a great shape and character there! I wouldn't scrap it if I were you. As someone who has only made one head, the only thing I'd change would be to shave the muzzle fur and fur around the eyes down a little. Otherwise you're cooking, it's adorable! :3

Yeah totally, and I realize my post may have implied you're insecure which wasn't my intention, I suppose that's just me viewing the situation through my lense as a historically insecure person LOL. I don't blame you at all from wanting to distance yourself from that behavior.

There are few contexts I would express my preferences like this, precisely to avoid making someone feel the things youre feeling. At the same time, people just say shit without thinking, so sometimes you just gotta flick those little stray hits off your shoulder and keep bein' your fabulous self. <3

The freezing can damage the delicate plates in the battery, and the sulfate reaction is similar to oxidizing, or rust. So either way, the internal structure of the battery takes permanent damage and leaves you with an expensive toxic brick. So...don't let your car battery discharge too low!!

3 months ago 1 0 1 0

I knew car batteries had liquid in them, but today I learned its an electrolyte (brawndo), and if the battery discharges low enough in 80°F or higher weather the electrolyte sulfates the inner plates of the battery which prevents charge/discharge. In low temps, the electrolyte liquid can freeze.

The past few years I've struggled with committing music and my interests have peaked and waned, which I now realized is good ol' adhd. But hey, now that I'm getting that addressed, and have started fixing the things worrying me, I have the mental bandwidth to get excited about creating again.

Being a creative, it's no surprise that just -doing the damn thing- is the most important part, but I'm such a nerd for the process. What is your workflow, your tools of the trade? What software makes the most sense to -your- brain? How do you remove roadblocks when inspiration strikes?
