Night and Day’s recruitment and retention policy appears to be: invite someone in for a trial period when they’re short staffed, show them how to use the till, ‘don’t know how to use the coffee machine? Google it’, initially give them three shifts per week, after six months, reduce to one per week.

Night and Day are awful employers - they dismiss staff for no reason. I won’t be going there again.

I wish I’d never signed their petition about the noise abatement order now.

Good - that was a big disappointment. I made my daughter come and watch that with me and I don’t know if I’ll be able to persuade her to come to Bone Temple now. It is Mother’s Day next week though…
