I was always thankful that my hometown USL team in San Antonio switched to 8 pm kickoffs in the (long) summer. It would still be 90+ at kickoff anyway, but at least the sun was going down by then.

It does feel like there’s no perfect solution for every NWSL market. Those of us in the south know the summers are already unbearable, and vice verse with the north. Going to take way more than just a schedule change (infrastructure updates, better weather policies) to make it work regardless.
