Thank you!💕 It was a bit of a play on FullMetal Alchemist with their importance on the law of equivalent exchange. Plus then it makes my players question how difficult or easy it is to become a deity and that's exactly what I need to set up my 2nd campaign. 👀👀

It's fun though, perfect amount of horrific that I need to get my players scrambling

And created temples around the continent that would sink the entirety of the continent (the struggling nation was a island outside of it), keeping secret the "can ascend someone to godhood" aspect. I'd go more into detail but my players follow this account and they don't know much about (3)

That mortal went to a ruler of a struggling country telling them that he had the power to make all other nations bend a knee should they ever attack them and that he wanted to "help" them. After some persuading, he convinced them to lend him aide in splitting up the power he was given (2)

Narrative elements 😂 The God of Mischief & Trickery was slighted by the gods about a thousand years ago and during this time a mortal man came to him asking for unbelievable power, enough to kill a god. Out of pettiness, they gave it not realizing that same power can be used to make a god (1)

False Gods working with the guy that wants to ascend to godhood.
TLDR: SO MANY LAYERS

Those people are the BBEGs, 3 of whom have been roped into this mess by the guy who wants to ascend to godhood and none of which knew THATS what they were helping as they were all promised things in return for their help, but now it's too late and they've all been possessed to varying degrees by (5)

Drive the continent into the ocean and flood EVERYTHING. Since this scheme has been going on for hundreds of years and is almost completed, there are MANY threads that connect characters, along with the player character's respective backstories connecting to 4 specific people. (4)

That took place were apart of one of the nation's most powerful man's scheme to eventually sacrifice the entire continent in a mass drowning to ascend to godhood. His plan to do so requires activating ancient temples placed around the continent that, once activated: (3)

On the train, they manage to try to stop the murderer but in the process accidentally crash the train itself which causes a big uproar as the nation starts pinning blame on ajoining countries that they've been tense with. The party comes to find out soon after finding shelter that the murders (2)

The layers of this thing are more than I could count- but the Synopsis is:
A group of people on a train get involved in a murder mystery while they're traveling from a politically affiliated town to the nation's capital. (1)
