You were pretty dead on with Pavement and the weezersphere bands. I’d add GBV, Grandaddy, Broadcast. Dinosaur Jr. as the aspirational power trio. Most stuff on Exploding in Sound. Maybe less audible on the record, but was listening to a lot of 00s Canadian indie like Stars.

With fuzzed-out guitars, pixelated synths, and slacker melancholy, it's a throwback to Sophtware Slump-era Grandaddy.
