I spy a fucking asshole
I made a video looking at the new LRG release of Doom for the SNES and the man himself Randy Linden took the time to comment! Very cool!

Just saw Project Hail Mary and was super disappointed to learn it had NOTHING to do with Tupac.
Open and play it or keep it sealed?

Yesterday I watched They Will Kill You, a film about two estranged sisters fighting for survival against a devil-worshipping cult.
Today I watched Ready or Not 2, a film about two estranged sisters fighting for survival against a devil-worshipping cult. And Elijah Wood.
Just saw They Will Kill You completely blind and holy fucking shit did I love it.
Get me a Kill Bill sequel with Zazie Beetz and Maya Hawke STAT.
Just for fun, I recently put together a PC two 1080 Ti's in SLI. Games stopped supporting SLI around 2020, but I've found by dedicating the second card to frame generation, you can really get some extra mileage out of them. Shame Nvidia just killed driver support though. π
Picked this up on my lunch break. #retrofinds
Being around people?
I need a good portfolio website to showcase my video work. Anyone have any suggestions?
Metroid Prime 4 is great. That is all.
It's also been fun to see what DX9 stuff it can handle. Games like Crysis 2 run at a full 1080p60 without any trouble, and most AAA games from that generation have zero issues when it comes to SLI support. Nvidia really did a solid job of making sure it just worked.
I've been playing games on an old PC with two GTX 275s and an i5 3770K. It's been fun seeing what the most modern games it can run are. Surprisingly, a lot of Nightdive's remasters work on it (like Powerslave: Exhumed) even though they use DX11 and Vulkan and the GPUs are supposedly incompatible.
Look, I know itβs a bad version of the game, but can you really go wrong at that price?
I think Phil Spencer did some good stuff in his early years as head of Xbox, but Iβm afraid his legacy will be spearheading the acquisition of lots of beloved studios that never got a fair shake before ultimately being shut down.
Having a conscience can fucking suck.
I turned down a huge job offer yesterday and cited a long commute as the reason why.
The truth is I currently work on a small team of three, and my two colleagues have kids, and if I left and they subsequently got let go, Iβd feel guilty forever.
Ugh.
Lunchtime pickup
ah the drone footage of this skiing is INCREDIBLE they're going SO FAST
I hate to break it to the boomers, but scrolling through a TikTok feed is what you used to call channel surfing.
I see Chappell Roan dressed to give David Ellison a heart attack and I approve.
New best time on #SegaRallyChampionship on the #SegaSaturn
My GPU temps seem legit
Saw the #StrangerThings finale at the theater. Definitely the way to go. Thought it was solid overall, and loved the epilogue. I'll definitely miss having a show around to remind me of my childhood. π
Happy New Year! Announce the price of the Steam Machine already!
Watching Diana Ross do karaoke rn
So I upgraded this PC: went from a 1.8GHz to 2.6GHz CPU, replaced the 32MB Nvidia TNT2 M64 with a 128MB ATI Radeon 9800 Pro, and doubled the RAM from 512MB to 1GB.
It's now moderately capable of gaming with Windows XP, but very capable with Windows 98SE.
Avatar 4 screen test.
Saw someone compare Vince Zampella to John Carmack in how much of an impact he had on the first-person shooter genre. Medal of Honor, Call of Duty, Titanfall, Apex Legends, Battlefield...pretty solid argument.
