Books BC has made an annual donation of $1000 to the Greg Younging Undergraduate Award.

The award was founded in memory of Dr. Gregory Younging (1961–2019), publisher at Theytus Books and member of the Books BC board of directors. Greg graduated from Simon Fraser University's Master of Publishing Program in 2000 and later taught as adjunct faculty.

Books BC, in partnership with SFU Publishing, established the award to help support the training of emerging Indigenous publishers in Canada.
