The lack of Artemis goodness in the timeline to offset the crazy is unfortunately very noticeable this week. 😐

Oh, good I thought that was just us.
Things that work: giant rocket, very precise math, orbital mechanics, cameras, iPhones
Things that don’t work: Microsoft Outlook, toilets, sat phones
You put an 'X' anywhere in the solar system, and NASA will get you there, dead-center, on time. Love them.
Yeah it's been a great alternative to the last 10 days. Will definitely miss it.
And I for one welcome our new insect overlords...
Amen. It’s been a joy watching their professionalism and enthusiasm.
I truly don't know what to do. Showing up every day to deal with the mundane feels surreal.
At least we don’t have to now suffer through Ned Lamont pretending to like UConn for a few days.
It could be 40ish years...
Lovell's Mt. Marilyn (also after his wife) was officially recognized in 2017, so it can happen...
The Artemis II mission seems good because it is.
People seem excited by it because they are.
It looks like a testament to the value of teamwork because it needs many people working together to succeed, and it’s succeeding.
One of the best things about this is how straightforward it is. Authentic.

enjoying the artemis ii updates because it's nice to be living through a positive historical event for a change

It's crushing. Trying to bring light and good hyper-locally.
You know when there’s only like 15 pages left in a book and nothing’s been solved and you get that weird closure anxiety like “okay there’s no way any of this is gonna be wrapped up in a way that makes any sense to me”…that’s what everything feels like all the time now
All of this is a feature, not a bug.
some ways to generate electricity
A) use sunlight to drive photosynthesis in plants, let plants die, wait ~100 million years, dig up fossilized plants, burn plants, use heat to boil water, use steam to drive a rotating turbine, use generator to make electrons
B) use sunlight to make electrons
Over three days we watched the extended editions of all Hobbit and LoTR, per tradition.
A super fun time at Fenway today to see UConn get a bowl win!
In fact I read it as a library book and went and bought the book I liked it so much.
I read the book a few years ago and it was instant classic. One of my favorite things I’ve ever read.
Raw milk is one of those ideas that can really only take hold when people haven't seen a cow. if you see a cow from let's say ten feet or less you immediately understand the problem that pasteurization is solving
