Last week was a big week for Google's military aspirations. Google executives want the world to know that Google is officially a weapons contractor. With this announcement, Google formalizes its war sales machine, and cedes control of how its technology is used to Lockheed Martin: the world's largest military company. Lockheed Martin supplies the Israeli military with weapons including fighter jets, attack helicopters, and missiles.

Since Israel's illegal blockade of Gaza began in 2007, the Israeli military has used these weapons to kill Palestinians and destroy their homes and infrastructure, including hospitals, schools, and water and electric systems. Google will now provide generative artificial intelligence technology to power missiles and bombs. In other words, Google is selling its technology and services to help Lockheed Martin more effectively and efficiently surveil, displace, and kill people.

A few days after the Lockheed Martin partnership announcement, the Intercept reported that Google Cloud CEO & genocidaire Thomas Kurian is not satisfied with helping the Israeli military pillage countless communities & murder hundreds of thousands of Palestinians. Kurian is once again colluding with the Trump administration, weaponizing Google tech to criminalize, imprison, deport, & destroy our immigrant, Palestinian, trans, Muslim, Black, & Latine communities with its new contract with U.S. Customs and Border Protection to "upgrade the so-called virtual wall."
