While a lot of this has seeped into my art style and nested there, these four pictures would also summarize what I try to do with my narratives, every time.
Think of how many games where the verb is violence. How many games (including the ones nominated for tonight’s BAFTA awards) where you shoot, fight, kill.
But when games want to explore the topic of violence in a meaningful way, that’s the issue?

I think one of the reasons we don't see many 'mom' games (at least games ABOUT motherhood or about a mother) is that tasks and responsibilities that are considered 'dad' tasks are usually a lot more 'fun' or 'noble' than what we consider 'mom' tasks.

If I knew viewing Guernica would put money directly into the pockets of a still living Pablo Picasso, who had announced publicly that he would be using that money to terrorize, harm, and kill women, not only would I not go view Guernica, it would fundamentally change the meaning of Guernica as art.
Ever wonder why ants build colonies that last generations without trashing their habitat? Or how bees pollinate without poisoning the flowers? No intelligent species will destroy their environment in the disguise for development and profit—nature proves it.
It has finally happened. A day that was so thoroughly exhausting that I did not feel like writing, drawing or playing music after, only felt like playing Pokemon X and watching an episode of Shirobako.
.. all it took was way too little sleep and feeling under the weather.
