I always imagined that our circadian rhythm is dictated by tiny cicadas inside of us, since cicadas are the uncontested time-keepers of the animal kingdom.
When we change the clocks, we infuriate our inner gods, who transform into locusts and lay waste to their own landscapes.

Philadelphia isn’t as bad as Philadelphians say it is.
When I tell Philadelphians that we moved to the city because we like Philly, people often seem confused.
Twice a year, I grumble that Daylight Saving Time is state-sponsored jetlag.
This morning it occurred to me: What if I just opt out? Keep the same sleep schedule regardless of what the clocks say.
For a remote worker without kids, it might work. 🤔
It's shockingly easy to create a group of AI agents with CrewAI. It's exponentially harder to get them to produce quality results for anything but the simplest tasks.
Another “preemptive” war against a Middle Eastern country. Regime change in the name of freedom, with lies as justification. What could possibly go wrong.
When I was 5, my parents took me to the Anne Frank House. I think they wanted me to know that ordinary people are capable of hideous things, and also that they’re capable of courage and selflessness. I’ve been thinking about that a lot lately.
“‘There is no bright line between democracy and autocracy, it’s a spectrum, and not all of the country will experience that switch at the same moment in the same way. But… there is a US city living under occupation by fascist presidential secret police right now’” www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...
Neighbors shouldn’t have to hide asylum seekers from lawless paramilitary troops in the United States.
Parents shouldn’t have to tell their kids that they can’t leave the apartment, or that they might never see each other again.

Art gallery full of people viewing surrealist paintings.
The Philly Art Museum’s exhibit on surrealism was packed. Hard not to see it through the lens of current events.
If only we had some miraculous, cost-effective technologies that turn sunlight and wind into clean, renewable energy.
Then who would ever invade a country for oil infrastructure that requires billions of dollars to repair? Oh wait.
“Is there any legal justification for the US attack on Venezuela?”
The short version: No.

A shameful day for the United States.
Humming along with Glenn Gould’s Goldberg Variations.
I never felt an affinity for Mozart.
But I find Bach’s instrumental works endlessly fascinating. Like falling into a rotating fractal whose shape changes with each modulation.

Cold, empty beaches are best.
A sign told us that it is archery hunting season. Fortunately we did not see any archers.

The prototypes aren't perfect, but they're good enough to show stakeholders after a few changes.
Useful for getting feedback and alignment early in the process. Much faster than mocking up a bunch of screens or building a prototype with code.

In Miro, I usually create a rough content model and use it to define UI components and page types with team members.
With the beta tool, I found a way to generate a prototype based on our usual page type artifacts.

In elementary school, I imagined that when I grew up, I would move to Siberia and read and write in a cabin like a 19th-century Russian novelist. I would sit at a wooden desk or read in a wingback chair in front of a fireplace during never-ending blizzards, with a husky and a mug of hot chocolate.

Is this button driving anyone else bananas?
I panicked because my phone wasn’t in my pocket. Where did it go?
Reader, it was on the table in front of me. I was engrossed in an article on my phone.
“Human in the loop” is about as reassuring “rabbit in a snare.”
I don’t want humans in a loop. I want humans designing, managing, overseeing, and taking responsibility for their loops.
