In Don't You Want Me, this is how the male singer responds to a breakup:
"But don't forget, it's me who put you where you are now
And I can put you back down too."

That song is not ok

I've been busy learning the #Elektron #Digitone II. It's that thing I've missing that I didn't know was missing! I can make rough sketches so much faster than with a DAW!

(Forgive the rough performance - I'm learning and one hand was holding the camera ๐Ÿ˜…)

Sigh. Just after I finished remaking my website with #WordPress, I learned about all the drama going on with it. I'm really hoping the fighting between devs doesn't make things difficult for folks like me who are just trying to run our small sites.

Look for some videos on mixing - it's a pretty big topic. Using decent studio monitors is very helpful. Also, as you mix, compare your sound to some reference tracks that you like the sound of

I wanted a hardware #synth for hands on #SoundDesign, but I'm falling in love with the #sequencer. Parameter locks are everything. I want more tracks, song mode, longer patterns! I think an #Elektron would suit my workflow. Now I see why hardware is a rabbithole.

It wouldn't have any signal on it's own. I believe it's a resistor and the amount of resistance changes with temperature. You could run a weak signal through it and then amplify that. The sound would be affected by temperature, although I dunno if it would be enough to add any interest

I don't know what it's like to want to do these things while having no idea where to start, but I can recommend that you experiment with things that you don't really care about because you might end up finding something new and interesting to care about.

I made a mix in a free sound editor for fun because I liked learning different software. I accidentally took an interesting pic with a p&S camera because I like reading manuals and wanted to see how the macro switch worked.

I see people ask how to get started with #MusicProduction or #photography. I just realized why I have a hard time relating - I never wanted to get into either. I got into both by messing around and then gradually learning more.

I have absolutely watched some Cricut and Glowforge videos. One of them could find a home here one day

Yep - learning CAD is the way to really get the best value out of your printer. Sometimes you save a few dollars by printing, but the best is when you print something that you didn't even have the option of buying.
(Clearly I prefer functional prints ๐Ÿ˜€)

Sound โ€“ Bartosz Ciechanowski Interactive article explaining how sound works.

Reading through this explainer probably won't make you better at #synth #SoundDesign, but it will give you better understanding of what's happening as you modify sound waves. Every one of Bartosz Ciechanowski's explainers is amazing, but this is my favorite.

I broke my website a few times in the process, but I managed to set it up so #Wordpress doesn't appear to be in a sub-directory even though it is.
(1st, I messed with settings to see if I could just figure it out. I lost access and had to edit the database to fix it. I don't recommend that approach)

#Godox has a new flash! The V860III, V1, and V1 pro never seemed like worthwhile upgrades from my V860II, but the new V100 may be it. There's a significant power increase!

really disturbed & disgusted at all the comments I see on multiple posts since TGA that this or that game is "woke" because the main character is a woman and they "don't want to play as a woman". I played so many games with male main character I never saw the issue?Misogyny in the industry is INSANE

"Back in my day" when I released my last album, CDBaby was the only major option for self publishing. There's so much to learn about all the options that are out there now.

Reverse Psychology, by Ahd Child 15 track album

As release date for my 1st song in years approaches, I'm updating my online music presence. I redid my bio on Spotify and added my last album to Bandcamp. The new single will release there too. Next, I have to work on my website.

There were 4 levels. You went back to the first one after beating the last, but it got faster. A lot of games worked like that rather than having a set ending.

I enjoyed it a lot at the time, but I do love the complex game play and story lines in modern games
