X-ray of distal and proximal phalanges of my big toe on my right foot. In the x-ray, a triangular chip of the distal phalanx can be seen to no longer be attached to the rest of the bone.

Confirmed via x-ray. Broken! A chip of my big toe's bone (where the arrow is pointing to in the pic) is completely detached. Ice. Ibuprofen. See a podiatrist later this week and determine whether I'll need a pin.

Lots of pain last night in places that didn't hurt yesterday. This morning, in the light, I see the tell-tale bruising of breaks. So—broken!

Did I break my toe today? Maybe. Maybe not. I'm not screaming in pain, but my big toe is swollen up like a balloon and I can't walk on it. So for now it's ice. Ice. Ice.
