All right - I fixed the site. I actually rebuilt it into a static site generated using Hugo, and I think it's pretty neat. Anyway, I posted about it here: www.houseofslack.com/posts/rebuil...
Email subscriptions aren't working, I'll work on that now.

My games blog was hacked tonight - sorry for the two spam articles that went out over email. I'm working on fixing it, it's turned off in the meantime.
Don't even have a bonfire in this place, what kind of bullshit hub world am I in?
Scraped myself on the microplane and made the exact noise the Dark Souls guy does when a skeleton ganks him.
It absolutely could be worse.
Well, it happened again. Through the magic of separate listings under the band and label, I have purchased an album on Bandcamp that I already had. I thought, huh, I thought I had already purchased it, but no, Bandcamp said I had not. Alas. Should I do something different to avoid this? Shut up.
MUSIC NERDS: Very cool, new Angine de Poitrine record!
ME: fuck yeah new Yambag.
Gulo Gulo is a fantastic game to play with your kids, and Jennifer working on it is delightful. Great to see this!
This time period is the time when I was least plugging in to music. There was at least one baby in my house during this time, for one. So while I don't know as much about this music, I'll learn about some fun stuff and it's a great time to read anyway.
I mean, the clues were all there: Eize Basa both being four-letter words and all.
I had to listen to it twice, but the Mariners feed of the Mariners/Yankees game tonight has a promo for upcoming tickets that says "then the Mariners are back for an 'Al' west showdown with the Astros", pronouncing it like the name Al, instead of A-L. Have to assume they're using a generated voice.
It looks like maybe the Vevor one supports ZPL, the page description language that I ended up having to work with for my project. (eur.vevor.com/goods/faq/in...) I guess it might depend on the model?
I had to figure out how to print labels to a thermal printer a while back to fulfill the Kickstarter I ran back in the day. If for some reason you ended up getting a Zebra thermal printer, I actually could help with this! (And have some Python I could share.)
At least Aaron Judge ate shit yesterday, that was nice. (I am good at ignoring the larger context.)
The cover of Basehead's "Play With Toys" album.
Appreciate the resemblance to Basehead.
This shit is completely unacceptable, and you can just add it to the list of disqualifying stuff from Newsom.
Baseball is back (derogatory).
No budget? No problem!

Hopefully they'll do something like what they did in StS 1, where when you beat the Heart with a character, you could turn on the beta art for them.
For future reference, my best guess is that a button (or two) were stuck which is what caused you to enter the bootloader. I've had that exact thing happen before, and doing my best to free up the buttons helps.
Fascinating information in this thread.
The ergonomics are so much better that I just don't think I'll ever get the board game out again. I have plenty of other great board games we can play in-person, and it's no longer my only way to play StS with others. I'll never have to deal with those stupid sleeves again!
I actually feel bad for Contention Games. I think they did an admirable job of translating the game to multiplayer, and now... well, StS 2 did it better.
A delightful thing that I have backed into is just refusing Samsung's changes to their privacy notice. It seems to have disabled a bunch of their crap on this phone. They forlornly ask once a day, but no. I do not agree, Samsung. I will never agree.
Nothing hits like a Rainier tallboy.
And is that a Cows reference in the very next entry? Be still my heart!
I didn't have to go very far to find Einstürzende Neubauten on the list, so you know it's legit.
Genuinely baffled at this. Getting kids up in the dark sucks a lot!
Oh my god. In On The Killtaker might be my favorite album, I cannot wait to listen to this.
They sell giant cans of the cherries, and they're so expensive, and ever time I see one, I'm tempted.
The syrup is really good on waflles, also.
