It's almost funny. I'm usually pretty bad at remembering birthdays unless it's for someone I talk to very regularly. Hell, I can't even remember the exact dates of my parents' birthdays. But 22 years later, I still always remember Michael's. Idk why that's funny to me. It's a sort of tragic humor, I guess; a cautionary tale about the irony of being stuck in the past while the present flies by. Maybe I don't even really find it funny at all. Maybe I just want to find some sort of humor in it so I don't focus purely on the tragedy. Who really knows? Grief is complicated. Anyway, happy 36th Mikey. I wish you knew how much you're still loved and missed.
