Not to mention every time there’s an outage mine are disappearing. I had feeds I had made and lists I subscribed to and all but 2 are gone now. Infuriating.

We thought it was severe depression at the time…looking back I don’t think it was. If they haven’t had full blood work up, that’s worth a go. But it sounds like they probably have that done already

Blood tests revealed severely low folic acid..a supplement helped. Plus it seems to ease a little with each annual covid vaccine. And time. But it’s rough.

This happened to my teen…with years hindsight now, though the infection was bacterial and cleared with 10 days antibiotics (after waiting 6+ months for a prescription 🙄) we concluded it was likely long covid/CFS, bacterial infection was secondary….

Thankfully we were somewhat prepared having seen a paediatrician some years ago for depression and extreme tiredness (that we now think was actually the LC) and being told to read a Derren Brown book. I wish I was kidding.

When I looked at the website it did seem to be mostly mindfulness and group acceptance therapy 😕 like…it’s been years. That’s all been done. It’s not medical. It’s ’learn to live with it’.

Same…my teen was referred to a ‘long covid service’…turns out it’s a CFS charity which…ok, but we haven’t heard anything and that was months ago so even that isn’t even there.

Late gen x here…I do anything big on my iPad. (I don’t have a laptop anymore). Always amazes me when my teens do big stuff on their phones…it’s just too squished for me to be able to think straight!

I remember this phase with my lab and it seemed to last a long time. Now I have a maltipoo and it legit lasted over a year. Like living with a velociraptor. He eventually got the memo 🤣

We used to give our lab good quality bull pizzle and good god he loved them, but we had to put them in the boot to bring them home because the smell was…a lot. Lawd.

Not today but the last couple of days have been very ropey in the UK. Even made it to down detector!

There is a good BBC documentary on this (Storyville Praying for Armageddon) if you haven’t seen it. It’s on iPlayer.

I’d never had a small dog…I remember furiously googling ‘when do small dogs stop being puppies’. Turned out to be a looong time. Good lord. And I’d had a Labrador! (Turns out he also had severe anxiety which didn’t help). Not sure I could ever do puppyhood again tbh!
