Also Lore (and the resulting community) felt like THE catalyst for BNS to improve. He held their feet to the fire and they did what many thought was enough. So this all is complicated for me feeling like he attacked the community because it didn't give his correct response. Thanks for your patience.

I'll concede to that point. Reading tone is my blind spot.

I just get prickly because people did care at the time. It was such a mess. But a lot of people who stayed didn't stay because "Eh, transphobic larp better than no larp," but because the response was so strong and felt it showed support.

100 percent agreed. My own personal views on it are complex. But also irrelevant.

I shouldn't be speaking for or against the trans folk who do or don't show up. Or assume they don't know or don't care.

I get it was a vent video but the brush stroke was dangerously wide given the subject matter.

And the worst part of all of this is that he doesn't call out old White Wolf for their shit. Or Onyx Path when he covered Curseborne and their assault and firing allegations.

No, this isn't some actual caring about people or making sure people are aware. It's just beef because -he- felt slighted.

People who know how the company behaved and yet still go are trans folk who decided the actions were enough. They don't 'not care,' they just believe the company. Him saying trans folk are wrong because they aren't as offended as a cis dude is on their behalf for his personal vendetta is shitty.

People are allowed to be skeptical. People are allowed not to go if they don't feel it was enough. He's allowed to not like them. But insulting the women, POC and trans folk who do go and acting like they are somehow less than him for "not knowing" (fun fact, we know, it wasn't hidden) is shitty.

But now, because HE doesn't feel like it's enough, every person who goes the event is either willfully ignorant or not as enlightened as him. Which, given that the majority of people who go are women, with a lot of trans folks and POC, is an interesting taking from a cis white guy.

Within a few days, Rion was out and BNS repudiated his actions. But that wasn't enough because LBN felt slighted, so he has a hate boner for them and regularly conflates old BNS (the people who held the old license like Jason Herman) with the new group to make them look worse and to fuel his ick.

BNS has a real shit person on staff. LBN found it, and the president did a -really- stupid thing trying to smooth things over because its human to process that someone you are friends with is a shit person. Bad look.

Because in his video he specifically said, "But I suppose if you want to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars to participate in a LARP event hosted by a bunch of misogynist transphobes and racists, then I suppose you'll be excited by anything."

He was talking about everyone.

She did, you just didn't look for it, and Rion is a shit stain who got canned, so you caring what he thinks just shows you're grasping at straws. So good job demeaning the work of dozens of amazing LBGTQIA+, people of color and women because you got your precious white savior complex attacked.

Yes, but calling the company racist, misogynist and transphobic and saying anyone who chooses to go values their wallet over their morals is a shit take and is transphobic as fuck. Especially coming from a cis white guy. Trans folk don't need some cis dude telling them they don't do enough research.

Or they have talked directly with the company, and decided thekr quick removal of him and that the CEO's apology was enough. And the heavy queer staffing means they trust peoples' experience versus crucifying over one mistake. But keep assuming everyone is just uninformed or doesn't care.

Your jab at larpers is a cis white man deciding that dozens to hundreds of women, PoC and trans larpers are just not nearly as smart as you and didn't, post-incident, do their own research on whether BNS was safe or not. We get it, you have beef. But you don't get to make that decision for them.
