MY HIATUS IS OVER! The blowout king is back.

Popping in for a bit. Should have said earlier that I'm gonna be on a brief hiatus. Still am, though. It's nothing serious, but it does require my attention.

Also, I noticed that my drawing tends to improve a good bit after shaking the rust off from not drawing for a while.

Moar art tips.

WIPs are very underrated references. They provide WAY more information than you think. You'll see on what goes on under the hood, such as how shapes how shapes are used and placed. This will also give you a better understanding of thinking in 3D.

If your old art "sucks" compared to your most recent art, that's a good thing. That means you've made a lot of progress along the way. Don't delete your old art because it makes you cringe.

One way to increase your drawing speed is to develop a habit on drawing without thinking. Drawing without thinking will prevent overthinking, and be able work with bigger shapes without worrying about all the small details.

Do not draw at 100% every time. You'll end up burning out at some point. Take a break by drawing something really silly, stupid, or something self indulgent.

Feel like you're not good enough to draw something? Solution: Draw it, anyway! Waiting until you feel ready? Solution: Draw it, anyway! The day that you feel that you're ready will never come. All you'll gonna end up doing is keep putting it off later and later, and then never.

Rimming and pegging? A true person of culture you have there.

Art QoL Tip:

When you're starting a new drawing, there's a good chance are that your canvas color is white. Staring at a white canvas will cause major eye strain. Turn your canvas color to gray. Your canvas will be in "dark mode" and your eyes will thank you.

More wisdom!

Only look up tutorials when you can apply it immediately. Without immediate application, you will end up forgetting a lot of what you've leaned, and also wasted a lot of time in the process.
