German law is very restrictive, to the point of making the derivation of human embryonic stem cells a criminal offence. The views expressed tend very strongly towards liberalisation.
Today and tomorrow I am in Berlin attending a conference on human embryos in medical research, organized by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (#BMBF).
