Overall,
Initially I was worried about the new makeup system, but working within and around it’s limits has made me like it a lot more.
made some typos:
replace “tint” with ”tiny”
and the second “went” in paragraph two with “wasn’t“
Tyler the Creator in Tomodachi Life LtD. The mouth part is edited to subtly how his teeth using the Makeup option.
First attempt of Pazini. The eye looks much too out of place in the game’s art style.
A second attempt, the eye having been repainting to closely resemble a mii’s eye.
While making Tyler, I couldn’t find a mouth that matched enough, so I used a tint bit of make up to make the teeth visible.
As for Pazini, i initially went for a different approach that I want quite satisfied with, until I settled on making them more mii-like.
Even when it comes to specific edge-cases that the Mii maker can’t represent alone, like a single eye or a very specific smile, I try to either replicate the style as close as I can or make any adjustments to parts as subtle as possible.

But I’ve grown to like having to use the actual Mii facial features to keep them expressive. Makes everyone feel a lot more like they’re from the same world.
