Who’s ready to “be the change”? Take the Random Acts of Kindness Challenge with me! Just commit to doing one nice thing for someone every day. It can be a small gesture, for someone you vaguely know, don’t know at all or someone you know inside and out. Let’s make it a pandemic of kindness!

Art reflects life, but life can reflect art. Let’s reflect love.
Feeling like we all need to recommit to standing up for what’s right. youtu.be/CjxugyZCfuw?...
It’s wonderful. Powerful.
I’m reading the amazing Prairie Lotus by Linda Sue Park. I selected for the historical fiction I needed for my MLIS children’s literature class. ❤️
Resurrecting this great idea from @sabrinawrites.com for Halloween:
I’m in my first semester of my degree to become a school librarian and just wanted to say that if anyone out there is considering becoming a librarian or archivist, I am loving my Masters of Library and Information Science degree program with University of Maryland!
I’m a little delayed here, but thank you to Scribente Maternum for publishing my humor poem, “The Break-up.” Hope it brings you a smile! scribentematernum.substack.com/p/the-break-up
After a 6-month hiatus, I’m back! Today I revived an old linoleum block and printed to make some greeting cards for friends.
I have such fond memories of #PippiLongstalking, movies, but when I went back to preview them for my kids, I realized the stereotypes and racist word choice/views, plus Pippi playing with her gun makes it not the fun, wholesome, imaginative movie of my memory. Someone please remake this story!
Egg mayonnaise is their term for an egg salad sandwich. :)
LOL! My thoughts exactly!
Said as eloquently as only skilled writers can…
I agree. I especially like the last line.
I think the world needs more cute owls in sweaters. Love this!
yes, I am still working through that fear as perhaps you can tell. Thanks!
Alone in a deep, narrow chasm,
Blue is my new black and I’m
Yearning for sun as ever-chilling water
Smashes my hope for my next breath and
Squeezes out my soul, dragging me down to hit rock bottom
without ever touching it.
Here's my first attempt at #Spooky #KidLit. My spooky mini came out in an acrostic poem titled ABYSS:
Thanks to @sabrinawritesnh.bsky.social for coming up with this #Spooky #Horror #KidLit prompt! I have never tried writing anything from this genre, but was inspired to give it a try.
Can’t wait for tomorrow #KidLitSundayScaries!
That’s so great that you do that. I do it in my head a lot, but writing it down seems like it will have more impact that I can share.
I believe remembering what we have will help us keep going and do what is right for ourselves and those who need us. #thanksgiving #friends #family #teachers #artists #creators #writers #good_people
I want this time to be about giving thanks, no matter what else is happening. We still have a lot to be thankful for. I plan to write down one thing I am thankful for each day for the rest of this month and will share it with my kids and encourage them to do the same. Who's with me?
@sabrinawritesnh.bsky.social @jess-a-roux.bsky.social I thought of you when I saw this!
Helloooo, Bluesky!! So happy to be getting off X and getting onto the side of creating art for the good of us all!
