29 long years have passed since I founded the emulation archive, Zophar's Domain, on 11.9.96. To this very day, the site still stands as a testament to an era that never actually disappeared but continues to live in the hearts of retrogamers all over the word. Emulation Forever!

Under him is the character list, and below that is the player's "Horror", the currency in the game. To the right is the item list, limited at 8 characters per item, Buy/Sell options below it. At the bottom of the screen is shopkeeper dialog; he's asking "What are you buying?" All text is 8x16.

Splatterworld translated shop screen. Shopkeeper is at the top of the screen, above a window that says "Weapon Shop." Immediately to the left of him is the character list. Below both of those is the item list, which now allows up to 14 characters per. Below that is the player's horror (currency) on the left, and Buy/Sell on the right. The 8x16 text has been changed to 8x8, and the selection sprites have been widened horizontally and shrunken vertically to fit the new names. At the bottom of the screen is shopkeeper dialog; he's asking "What are you buying?" This text remains 8x16.

Current progress on splatteworld: here's the retooled shop screen. Not final, but a big step. Item names are placeholder, but we're limited at ~14 characters max due to how inventory screens are laid out. But it's still a damn sight better than 8. Before and after attached.

The rom has been fixed and shared.

Yuuku preserved Mushihimesama Gaiden (虫姫さま外伝), a keitai-exclusive spinoff of CAVE's #Mushihimesama series! You walk around and throw bombs at enemies, which is a departure from CAVE's usual bullet hell shooters.
