Livestreaming and marathon gaming all day to raise funds for Boston Children's Hospital! Feel free to tune in and donate if you're feeling it- I have some fun incentives you can redeem including me getting slapped with a (shaving cream) pie 😄🥧

I think you misspoke when you said the largest dose from global testing (top figure) is in the Midwest? The graph shows this more on the east coast with the paper (ty for linking!) explaining that depositions from atmospheric tests had more to do with rainfall amounts. Nonetheless very interesting!
Decided to get started on Substack to provide some insight on rad news and maybe some pre-printy bits of my own health physics research. Feel free to check it out and discuss!
Need a moment of joy today? I recently gave a talk about what Indigenous inclusion in science looks like. Grab some tissues and get ready to ugly cry… 🐻🪶🐍🐸🐟🧪
Accounting for a patient’s skin colour during Cherenkov-based radiotherapy dosimetry can mitigate the effect of skin pigmentation and increase the accuracy of dose measurements. 🧪⚛️ physicsworld.com/a/accounting...
A favorite tune to learn on a new instrument 🌙❤️
Au clair de la lune,
Mon ami Pierrot,
Prête-moi ta plume
Pour écrire un mot.
Ma chandelle est morte,
Je n'ai plus de feu.
Ouvre-moi ta porte
Pour l'amour de Dieu
I'm grateful that I could see so many folks at the Health Physics Society meeting, and for the time for my talk on accelerating alpha dosimetry simulations for radioparticles- many interesting discussions and ideas! I am putting a paper together now and will hopefully have a code available soon 😁📜⚛️
I actually think this is a case of judging the cover by its book 😄
Textbook: "Radioactive Air Sampling Methods", edited by Mark L. Maiello and Mark D. Hoover; published by CRC Press.
Just got my Publications Booth drawing prize at #HPS2025! 😁
Hey Bluesky! #iteachphysics and study Health Physics, particularly around environmental transport and internal dosimetry. I love nerding over my classes, latest research, vegan recipes, making music, and gaming! I'm always learning and hope to be your resource on rad risk/saftey. Let's connect! ⚛️🧪❤️
Hi again @physgal.bsky.social 😅 this is the same person as above but I will actually be moving my professional activities to this account; if I could please have this one added to the list I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time!
