Single frame. Chris Minns stands beside a massive tonne weight marked NSW POLICE being lowered by a crane. Visible sticking out from under the weight are hands, legs, a woman’s face, a keffiyeh and placards saying “NO TO GENOCIDE”, “FREE PALESTINE”, “HERZOG OUT”, “NO TO VIOLENCE” Minns says, “Thst should socially cohere them nicely.”

Nice one. We do a turkey, bacon, pumpkin (and a bunch of other veggies) salad for lunch, and then use the leftovers from this to make our homemade pizzas for dinner. Can prepare most of the salad the day before, then the kids love helping to make the pizza. Makes it a fun and relaxing day!

Best way I can put it:
1. She's experimented/tested everything, so there are loads of helpful suggestions for easy ways to do things, or substitutions to make.
2. Reading the recipes are more like a conversation with a friend than an internet recipe.
3. I'm yet to have a recipe fail or taste bad!

Treat the Coalition’s nuclear policy as what it is. A distraction.

It's time to go nuclear on the Coalition's stupidity Any other party would be blasted for announcing this policy.

"The Coalition's nuclear announcement is an absolute farce...it continues the Australian political tradition of completely ignoring the need to rein in bipartisan support for subsidised fossil fuel expansion."

The CSIRO affirms its view that Australia wouldn’t see first electricity generation from nuclear for about 15 years.
It’s be nuts to try and replace the capacity of the retiring coal fleet with nuclear as it’ll be a decade too late.

When Peter Dutton releases the nuclear ‘costings’ later this week (as he’s committed) keep your eye on what’s actually at stake - the necessary energy transition

Australia wants to co-host COP31 with Pacific nations, but by 2026 will Australia be a climate champion or will we see another episode of petrostate greenwash?

As @amyremeikis.bsky.social explains, ending fossil fuel subsidies is a good first step. #auspol

I feel like videogames actually do provide a pretty accurate representation of real life right now because a lot of videogames are like “THE WORLD IS ENDING” and then you just collect herbs and pretend nothing is wrong

SIGN NOW: Protect our elections! Changes to democracy are too important to be rushed through parliament.

The Electoral "reform" Bill is, tbh a crock that will lock in the major parties and squeeze independents and new entrants.

This massive stitch-up by the major parties leaves community independents to pay the price without any consultation or robust debate. We need greater transparency in parliament but this is not how to do it… #auspol

if you’re a #labor or #coalition supporter, i’ll understand if you want to avoid eye contact today…

the 2 major parties are ramming through a set of anti-democratic changes to the fundamental settings of our democracy…

entrenching incumbency, undermining fair elections.

Ban gas connections in new homes NSW is not on track to meet any of its legislated climate targets. An easy thing that Victorian and ACT governments have done to reduce emissions is ban gas in new homes. But NSW has no such plan.

The NSW government can set us up for a clean energy future by ruling out gas connections in new homes. knittingnannas.org/2024/11/18/b...
