Picked up my WIP for the first time in months. It's been a tough year, but determined to get it out there.
Is that 'The Lost World'?
Seen that Erich von Daniken has died. Back in the 70s his book Chariots Of The Gods was a real event. Always remember being gutted when the BBC put out an Horizon doc debunking the whole thing. Spoilsports.
Happy New Year everyone!
Merry Christmas to one and all!
River flowing towards a bridge. Trees lining the banks, dappled in autumnal colours.
Went to Canterbury today. Came across this view while walking near the Marlowe Theatre. Stunning colours. #Canterbury #Kent
The thunderstorm has arrived.
Weather forecasters warning of thunderstorms tonight.
Have you read 1984? We're living in it right now.
The Sun finally made an appearance this afternoon. From out of the blue sky a Spitfire barrel-rolled over Dover Castle. Stirred the blood.
Looking forward to this. Enjoyed the first film. Bonkers premise but they sold it. Interesting to see if they can catch lightning a second time.
What moves me about Pope Francis's passing is that, even though he was gravely ill, he still found the strength to bless the crowds on Easter day. That is the measure of the man. To put duty and love of God and people above all else.
Happy Easter everyone.
Haircut time again. Milan Barbershop, as usual. Best barbers in Dover.
A film that's much better than it ever has a right to be. Great fun.
The Few are now all gone. With the passing of John Hemingway the heroism of the Battle of Britain pilots passes into memory. #RIP
Wonderful sunny day here today. Apparently the UK has been hotter than Ibiza or Amalfi. Glorious.
True.
Walked down to the esplanade for some sea air, the first time in over a week. Still coughing, though. This lurg just will not let go.
Ventured out for the first time in five days. This lurg is a really nasty bug. Glad it's finally giving up. 🤧
Got the dreaded lurg today. Coughing, sneezing and wheezing. Horrible. 🤧
Finished Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Surprisingly enjoyable game. Wasn't expecting it to be so much fun. Lots to do, aside from the main quests. Especially enjoyed the detailed maps around the Vatican and Castel d'Angelo. Overall, great fun.

My book cover commissions are officially open again!
I handpaint vivid, colourful, pulpy covers for indie authors (including myself). Here's an example of my style. I'm open now for Feb commissions, reasonably priced, very approachable. Full wrap etc

Sounds good!
Biscuits.
Still maintain that his Dune was the best version. A visionary in every way. RIP David Lynch.
I am devastated - David Lynch’s films meant everything to me, changed me, let me see the impossible, made me an artist. There will never again be a voice like his. I am gutted about the films we won’t see now, but so grateful for the body of work he left us. It was enough. It will never be enough.
Unsolicited writing advice, no. #55234567:
You don’t have to write for a living to be a writer. You don’t have to be a great writer to be a writer. You don’t have to write full time to be a writer.
All you have to do is write.
My birthday today. 🎂 Popped into Canterbury for some sale shopping, the city now thankfully devoid of the Christmas markets and crowds.
